Atomic dominating the sport

Something about atomic, they seem to be winning all major competitions, skiercross, gs/downhill, slalom, big mtn/freeride. It just shows there dedication to be the best, by building the best skis, and hiring the best to ride em. They have only 1 more place to dominate(if you don't count moguls), freestyle, but allready steele spence came in fourth, and rex thomas is getting more and more powerful. So when, if any time do you think they are gonna take over the entire sport?

in the freeski world I think the toughest issue for atomic is shaking its reputation as a racing company

I am not doing the grabs because I am getting a thrill out of touching my ski-JP Auclair

It's a good thing that they have a racing background. They learned to build good solid skis from racing. Some of the best big mountain skiers have a racing background. I don't know why people dis racing.

 
they own freeride, on freeride day and on extreme day in NZ, leif and PY owned!

u can put anybinding u want on them

and they used to make the weakest twin ever...the fun zone bumb....that ski broke all the time...weak as hell...it will b a long time before they get over that reputation

 
I havn't tried them yet, but the stomps look like some pretty sweet skis.

the rodeos, freezones, tweaks all take different bindings, but the stomps do not. they have the plate that requires the massive atomic bindings. stomps are only really good for big mountain, powder, ripping, etc, because they are too heavy otherwise.

Atomic has the most amazing GS race ski this year, i recomend everyone try it even if you don't like race skis. the ski rips, its so fast and makes the most encredible turns

personally, they have the rep of making the most horrible bindings to get over. shit, fashion some bindings from friggin boulders and you'd have lighter shit.

Some salomon skis only use salomon bindings and lines bindings only work with line skis.

There is nothing motherly about mother nature. Except for her big mountainous breasts.
 
they may be heavy but have you ever mounted them? they are so easy to work with. They just havent gotten the freestyle binding down yet, the binding they have now is a mostly race binding. I use the 10/18 binding and if you think regualr atomic bindings are heavy the 10/18 uses a metal heel piece. yes they are heavy but i trust them more than any other binding when im going 140km on a solid ice downhill

Stomps are the heaviest skis ever. My coach skied them today and couldn't do more than a 360. Their bindings weigh like two pounds each. Sweet in pow' though.

i hear something about...racing background? what? racing isnt any companies background. i mean, yes they did it back in the day, but they continue to do it. its not like...they only made race skis, and are now gonna quit making them and make twins. pretty much every company makes race skis. k2, salomon, volkl, atomic, rossignol...just to name a few...but then there is line and armada...no race skis...ever

yes line and armada may not have race skis but they still are influnced by the design of a race ski just like every ski is.

atomic needs more big names in it's jib team. they've got a domiating skierX and big mountain team. now if they can get big names in jibbing they'll be unstopable

yeah they do. atomic skis are sweet. i got the 11.20 beta rides and i get moist just thinking about them.

 
Atomic has a true twin/park ski coming out mid season. I spoke to the rep...he siad they are gonna be sick?? I guess we will have to wait and see.

since racing skis pbly get the most sales, other then all mtn, racing is the 2nd most technological advancing sport. every ski is just a modification of a race ski

as a technician point of view atomic are crap. they are the worse binding in the world to mount. when you tune the ski its also a bitch because of the beta thingiy, there's not enought support on the front and back of the ski and the base caves in. you should also know that the skis that are winning races have ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT THEY sell on the rack. on an other note i tried the sugardaddy and i liked. but my friend says they lost all they're life after half a season...

i never had a pair of atomics break on me, but the rest is all just personaly opinion. Actually tho, one of my friends snapped a 9.20 in half when he was doing moguls.

dude, im a tech too and my mom, sister and brother have brand spankin new atomics. for tuning there is no difference. i just don't like using filler where the gouge spreads across the graphite and the normal base.

i snapped a 9.18 screwing around, hit some sticky snow and flipped over, took the tail right off... got a brand new setup for free out of the whole deal though

 
ya they are cetainly good race skis but they suck more balls then Elton John in freeskiing. I raced on them last year and I liked the but their are other companies that make awsome skis. Salomon does'nt only have good twin-tips but they make pretty decent race skis. Fuscher is on top af the game this year in racing skis they only need more riders; tehy have won 2/5 races this year on the men's side ( ok, Atomic won the others but that just cause Eberharter is awsome) Believe me try Fischer they are awsome an they turn and grip like HELL!!!!!!
