What do you think I should get.

04' AFT 9

05' T11

05' B9 ( dont now that boot, is it a junior ? )

those will be used on Salomon 1080, for rails, Big air , freeride.... lots of ' off road ' closed trails ect ..

Best boots in the world. I dont really like the skis that much and I hate the bindings, but Salomon boots are the best in the world, I just got the same pair, except they are from this year, but they are salomon sensitive 7.0, they are gnarly and rediculously warm. I have no opinion on Atomic....

do the chickens have large talons?

AFT 9's are prob the cheapest. They arent as stiff as the t11's so they would be a better park boot.

SMILE, its the second best thing you can do with ur mouth

atomic boots are fucking incredible. i have a pair of 03 R11's...which is what the T11 is. its that high performance boot category, the next one higher being something race oriented. in any case, if they fit your foot definately go for them because they are extremely light and the split heel does actually allow for flex with the ski - you'll notice if you have them for a while and then try on salomons.

so i'd go for the r11, its just such a good boot and the rubber under the sole is actually pretty helpful when you need it ( i should still have that feature).

jackson sucks. tell your friends.

the thing is the AFT9 is a 04' boots, so I cant order it directly @ Atomic.. and they are really limited in store

Not sure what those models are. But if any of them have the screw in heel and toe pieces don't get them. I have seen people rip them out while skiing. After time the screws or bolts get weak and one day just give out. Pretty gnar.

And those ones have a huge metal plate in the toe that acts like a heatsink and gives you REALLY cold toes.

Not familar with the exact models, but I had two pairs of Atomic boots in the past and would never own another pair. If any of these models have the replaceable toe and heel pieces stay the hell away from them...They are the boots of death. On two different occasions I ripped the toe piece completly off the boot, Once at Wolf Creek nuking, and once rippin in CB in Spellbound/Phoenix. Im lucky I didnt kill myself...

rockin some hot rod 130's now...stoked on them but they dont make them anymore so im gonna have to get the doberman 130...basically the same boot..

depends were you ski... my friend has atomic and managed to freeze in utah...wich is freakin hot compared to our -40 here in quebec....so iI assume next year hell do more snowboarding. my dalbellos are sick, and only heard good things about salomon

The b9 is a good booo but you should get a couple spare heel and toe piece replacement part with them.

I use the skiercross boots and they are ok after some flex modification, they need some more boot fitting that i cant afford tho. the b9 are comfy too

What boots you get are totally dependent on your foot structure, skiing style and weight.

A quick overview of Atomic's boots...

The B Tech are the widest boots on the market with a 104mm last. They are Best for someone with either you guessed it, big, wide feet, or someone who dosent ski all that much and is more concerned with comfort than perfomance.

The M Tech (or T Tech before 05/06) are a medium volume boot with a 102 mm last (IE C width feet). These boots are a safe bet cause they are an easy fit for most people. They are a little more narrow thruogh the heel area than most other brands, so they hold your foot down great.

The race tech or plug boots come in two varriations, the TI, which is an ultra narrow 95mm last, and the CS, which is a more forgiving 98mm last. These boots are made to be customized with thick plastic to grind and punch out and super thin liners.

Speaking of liners, they thin out as you work your way down the line, with the B tech having the thickest, then M tech, then CS, then TI. The thicker they are, the more plush, obviously, but also the more they will pack out.

Flex indicators run from 50 to 11 in the B and M tech, and 11 to 150 in the race tech. This is a matter of weight and skiing style, and its tough to gauge w/o a bootfitter or good salesperson.

For example, I ski in the Race Tech TI 130, which most people would say is waaaay too stiff for me based on my weight and the fact that I freeski and don't race. But its really the shiznit with a few modifications. You need to try them on, flex them, and take into account that the store is also much warmer than where you will be skiing them...

Oh, also, im not positive about the AFT boot since it was a little before my time. I think its a B tech fit, but Im sure Rex would know, ask him.

hope my little essay helps...

Hey CTF...

Why don't you contact your area rep for some help with those boots? I forget who it is up in Q, but im sure Rex knows if you don't. They should be able to at least hook you up with one of their dealers if not...

I have Rossignol Softs and they are super sweet. I like soft boots because theyre easy to get into and comfortable to ski in.
