Im considering both of these skis for next year.

Im 5'10 and 125 lbs, and skiing in the northwest

im worried about either the blogs being too stiff for my weight or the bents being a little too noodly

what are you guys' opinions?

I havent gotten a chance to ski either but Im pretty sure they dont fall into the same catogorie of ski. I dont know how well people are going to be able to compair them.

im not asking for a comparison im asking for mainly pros and cons of each so that making a decision will be easier, i also want those 2 main questions answered

yah my coach/neighbor has skied them both and he says that they are completely different skis. if you want a playful and snappy backcountry jib ski, get the blogs. if you want to have the time of your life in the pow and press/smear the fuck out of everything, get the bents

i already have the kung fujas from 2 years ago, would the blogs ski like a bigger version of that ski? if so i think im going to go with the bents

^ a little out of my price range im able to afford right now... that being said if i could find a cheap(ish) pair of bentchetlers i would go for them....im looking around mid 500's

if you are 125 lbs i wouldnt be worried about having too noodly of a pow ski. I had hellbents last year and loved them, but if price is an issue i would look at some older skis, for nw pow I really enjoy skiing my old EP pros, because they are the most playful pow ski i have ever been on, and unless you are dropping >50 ft consistantly they would be fine, what size ski are you trying to get?

thats what i had and i loved it, i am 5'11" and 180 lbs, I also raced for awhile so i push my skis pretty hard. they were super solid, always a good plan to get bents

I've skied both. Blog is a wicked all-round fat-ish ski but doesn't really have that kinda x-factor that makes a ski special. Carves pretty hard though.

Hellbents are just wicked fun no matter what the snow is like. And too noodly? You're 125lbs, I'm closer to 200 and they're fine unless I'm absolutely going for it in choppy snow.

i ride the bents and they are great! really soft but still have plenty of pop and are really playful! never ridden anything better when it gets really deep. Im 6,0 and weight about 160lbs for reference
