Amer, Parent company to Atomic just purchased Salomon.

Just thought you guys would like to know. It may have been posted before or something but it just became official Yesterday.

even if you don't ride atomic or salomon skis this is a big deal simply from an economic point of view. They're both huge companies, and as atomic dominated the nordic ski industry and salomon dominates the nordic boot industry they're going to turn into a little monopoly. maybe they'll figure out how to make decent park skis...

 
I completely agree...it'll be interesting to see what changes (if any) come from this merger.
