Saying mass shooting is misleading because in most people's minds they think omg poor innocent people getting gunned down at school or the grocery. Yes that's a serious problem but adding "mass shooting" stats that include all the gang violence to those is so inappropriate. It makes it seem like it's more common than it actually is, like your risk is somehow higher. The majority of those "mass shootings" are in places most people wouldn't even step foot in aka the hood. The majority don't get solved. Additionally those "mass shootings" in the hood are being done with pistols for the most part. I'm not seeing multiple victims with 556 wounds coming into the ER. Maybe once a year I'll see a rifle injury. It's mostly pistol rounds (9mm most common, .40, .45, and some .22) . Now we got people in my city turning glocks into fully auto with a 3d printed adaptor.
Unless we go full on police state with cops on every corner and lock down borders, round up every illegal gun in the US, and ban future sales, there's no way you're gonna stop this definition of "mass shootings".
What is the solution you speak of though?
