I'll have what you're smoking.
Science is always evolving: correct. Science in the 1600 is now deemed primitive: correct. Our methods will most likely be deemed primitive in the future" correct. HOWEVER, many ideas and theories that were developed hundreds of years ago are still widely accepted as true.
In science, people don't just hypothesize and then claim it as fact, they have to test it. Take the idea that the earth was flat. Did they test it? In a sense. What did they find out? That the earth is round. If you were to tell me something that sounds strange and say that it is a fact, I would tell you to prove it. To give me sources.
2+2=4 is a creation of humans. But the fact that if you find two coconuts, and then find two more, you will have 4. It doesn't matter if what I call two is what you call 7. If you want to go by that logic, then if you double the amount of coconuts you have, you could have 45 for all I know because of your numerical system. It's how we label things. It's the same way with every word. It's the same concept as different languages. I call a car a car, but someone in France calls it a voiture. Does the car still exist? Yes, we just call it different things.
