for those of you who claim to be more intelligent and "enlightened" as to the true nature of the world by choosing not to believe in any deity or religious dogma, and yet still bash on Christians calling them "fucking stupid", a big fuck you.
seriously. fundamentalist atheism condemning lax Christianity. never thought i'd see the fucking day.
 
Whatever, I'm atheist, but I don't really preach my views.

I hate anyone who preaches their beliefs. (Different than ranting, ranting is ok).

It's kinda like how ultra-liberals suck ass, and so do ultra conservatives. Once you take anything to the extreme it just gets unintelligent and annoying. It's mostly the people who blindly follow something and spew out "facts" on the subject, but in reality they're just spewing out tidbits of bs info that they've heard from casual conversations and shitty newspapers that focus more on the facial expression of someone than their policies.

Ugh, I hate stupid people.

anyone who forces their spirituality (or lack of) on others is dumb.
 
yup. exactly what im saying. atheism is the new black. a bunch of fucking idiots have latched on to atheism to the point of an almost religious following. its unbelievable.
 
It's people like that who prevent any kind of interesting and thought provoking discussions from taking place.
 


First off being black is not a choice, religion is. So this comparison your trying to make is absurd.

Seeing as how selection of religion is a choice I choose not to respect anyone who chooses it.

 
although comparing atheism to a fad is pretty insulting...it was been around a long time but never gained traction because of religious people loud mouthing against it
 
because i saw a stupid person post something on a different website that made me want to point out hypocrisy that an increasing number of people are guilty of these days. yeah dude.

Being agnostic, the last thing that I would say is that your religion is bullshit. Who knows, maybe one of those radical, fundamental Islam religions is right? That would be pretty gay tho

yes but in recent years the belief (or i should say, lack of belief) has been spreading like wildfire. i have never seen a Christian jeer at an atheist for being atheistic. but i have witnessed the opposite. in the past, one may have Christians attacking atheists, but in the present day, when atheists should be above name calling and generalizing believers of any religion are foolish. if reason and logic are as important to some of these people as they like to claim then why are they not reasonable enough to conform to coexistence?
 
there are positive things that religions do, for example preaching positive values and upholding good morals and such...
but the negative things that religions preach and the horrible things that certain religions get used for as a reasoning and an excuse make me hate religion. I would call myself agnostic, and as somebody above me said - believing in god is fine, preaching your beliefs to others is not.
 
That is very very debatable. I don't think when you were a baby and having you baptism if you are Catholic you did not have to choice to say "No I don't want this". You are born into what your family believes and have no choice to decide what you want to believe until you have the ability to.

BTW I believe in a God but I don't like organized religion at all. It makes people fucking crazy.
 
Not true. I am regularly bombarded by Christians why I decided to give up my faith. While there are certainly atheists who heckle Christians, I still think that most of the time it is the other way around. They think that I am possessed by the man down under (not Steve Erwin). Every conversation ends, "Well, you will come around eventually." That is as ignorant a statement as I have ever heard.
