I got some NS stickers and the one says ath1337. Can someone tell me what it means or what they think it might mean?
It's probably really obvious and i just dont see it. Maybe you will

i would check there first because they are in the right form and then i would use the searchbar next time
 
l33t is a nerdy internet talk. and by combining athlete and l33t you get nerdy internet athlete. which is what you get when you have too many posts on an internet website.

so doug is actually up in his little office laughing at all us "athl33ts"
 
True. The stickers originally existed for Newschoolers.com team members only. The idea carried over though.
 
wait i think i just figured out how the word athlete was derived

ok my theory is that the like very early olyimpics were in athens like 2000 years ago or what evs and that hences the word athe and the lete from elite so they would be athens elites just my theory
 
1337 c'est un terme commun utilisé par des gamers online du genre Quake. Et c'est dérivé du monde du piratage et du hackage. Bref, le terme est largement utilisé par des gens qui utilisent énormément les ordinateurs.

En lettre, 1337 équivaut à leet. Et c'est un raccourcis de 31337. Qui désigne "eleet" qui sonne comme elite. Donc, ça veux dire quelqu'un d'élite qui vit à l'entour du monde d'ordinateur.

Et Newschoolers se retrouve à être la réunion du monde des ordinateurs et du sport. Car les personnes qui y vont sont des athlètes mais ils le font avec un ordinateur. Et ath1337 sonne comme "athlete". Donc, ath1337 est le terme parfait pour décrire en un mot qu'est-ce qu'un utilisateur de NS.
