At what age do you stop making a backyard set up?

never, the older you get the smarter you get so you can make a better built set up..

I'm 22 and the only reason I live in a house instead of an apartment is to have space for my backyard setup and trampoline.

im turning 18 soon. im so sad though because i wont be allowed to have a backyard setup anymore :(

When you stop having fun. I am going on 30 this summer, and had a blast with a flat bar in my yard all winter.

i bet that one of us is gonna make such an epic backyard setup once we get a career and a paycheck. oh and a backyard of our own

whenever you can't ski anymore.
seriously why does it matter? as long as you're having fun who gives a shit how old you are.

I made/am making one and I'm 21 and I don't see anything stopping me in the future. In fact the older the better, you can drive, have a better idea of how to build stuff, pay more attention to detail, and most importantly...have more money to put into a good set-up.

fuck that i'm 17 and i haven't made one yet. i don't care how old i am when i finally have a backyard to build one in, i'm fucking building it.

The answer lies not in the age, but the responsibility and lifestyle you have. If you are a single 35 year old who still loves to go out back and hit a rail or two, hey, why not. But if you are a married 35 year old with three kids then I would guess you don't have the time nor would it be okay if you got hurt.

there's an age limit? cos i'm turning 20 in a month and i fully intend on enlisting my 21 yr old friend to help me build my first backyard set up ever.

...age is just a freakin number.

This is my 38 year old friend going off my back yard water ramp!

I'm sure he'll be going off it when he's 40 as well.

You ski because you love it. Passion is a good thing.

Umm where do you live and can I come over?!

I'm 25 and the backyard setup will continue to get better. With age you can add a welder and experience. No reason to stop... ever.

I envision many NSers to be living with the wife/husband and kids and installing random hand rails all over their yards leading to nowhere. Just think, you could session all you want, no need to bring generators, you could dream up crazy hand rail designs, and no need to worry about the cops kicking you out.

If I ever do own a house, my whole backyard will be dedicated to a sick set-up, real back yards are overrated.

Why? thats bullshit.

Its like when your little and you play with legos and come up with your dream house with a sick ass fort and trapdoors. When I'm older and have a house I'm going to have an olympic trampoline sunk into the ground surrounded by mats and I'm going to have some jibs and and bomb drops off my roof. Its gonna be sicknasty.

nahhhh it doesn't matter how old you are if you just have fun doing what you love the most

but of course it depends on where and how you live eg in a house of you're parents up to 30years as someone said earlier.........

what kinda question is this? if your worried bout what people think when you ski then check yourself son

As my name says - im fuckin old. Made my setup when i was 37. 8 foot drop in. Getting old is strictly for pussies. I didnt use it much this year b/c I got in 96 days on the hill. Season isnt over yet - going to the bird on friday and hitting hood this summer.

just think the older you get the more money/experience you will have to invest in a setup so the more legit it gets

i was going to ask if you'd marry me, but then i realized that you're a dude..

anyways, on with the thread..

i say you can never be too old to make a backyard setup

i might have said yes. just kidding. ever since the mods changed my name to pink everybody thinks i'm a girl but let it be known I HAVE A PENIS.

Fuck that I'm 30 and I'm just waiting until I have kids and buy a house. Then I'll have enough of a yard to build an awesome setup - right now my condo in the city doesn't have any green space to do it.

I want to make it super badass so that when my kids get older they can slide dad's summer rails.

Of course by that time they'll probably love racing and think that this freeskiing stuff is too old school. :)

I'm 42 and I still set stuff up all the time. Right now I have a small kink rail to urban on, that drops into my neighbor's yard. I set up a step ladder to the same kink rail. Had to step off of my tramp on to the step ladder. Could jib down the stepladder onto the kink rail. Did it on a pair of like 1990 210 GS skis. Even have a splash pool in my back yard. All this is claim, but until I post the vid I am editing. By the time my kids get into it, I am hoping I have a quiver of pretty sweet features that we can bring out when we're feeling jibberish.
