At what age did you lose your virginity

Is it just me who thinks this?

I thought virginity was something you weren't supposed to give away willy nilly. Mind you, I have no idea about the situations here on this thread. You may have got it on with that special someone, or done it when you really were ready.

but it sure sounds like a lot of people are just going "fuck it", then fucking it.

I lost mine to a guy I dated for a really long time in high school. I was young but I definitely don't regret it. It wasn't a "fuck it" situation for me at all either.

Meh even at 17 I thought the whole saving it and making it special thing was extremely overrated. I was more like "Ok, glad I got that over with. Now I don't have to feel weird about it in college."
 
I lost mine at 17.

I had just broke my arm a few days before also, so I had a full arm cast on....LOL. It was actually kinda nice because I could prop myself up with it.

Big time, it's all about getting a little bit of practice in.

But for real though, it should be completely up to the people in question what they do with their bodies, and whether they choose to adhere to whatever traditions or taboos or not, and not about what some dude on an internet ski forum wants for them.

to each their own. some people wanna wait for the right person, some wanna wait till marriage. some wanna fuck anything that has a pulse and is down. for me, i just waited for the right opportunity. i didnt go outta my way to fuck anyone and I didnt lower my standards just to make it happen. and i regret nothing. probably worked out in my favor that the girl i lost my virginity to became a really good friend of mine and is currently my closest girl friend (other than my actual girlfriend) but whatever

so i guess all that matters is what you want, but i think everyone should give it some thought because some people definitely regret their first time and its something you can never go back and change.

Well the majority of my friends were having sex in highschool, so compared to them I was a late bloomer. Maybe because most of my friends were into partying. Anyways, that was all a long time ago now.

meh, I don't think it's anything special. It's no different than any other one night stand in my opinion.

The first time you have sex with someone who you really like is going to be special regardless of whether or not you are virgins. Really up until you do that, you basically just have practice with the mechanics of sex, which is not the full experience.
 
^ very true. It was almost three years after I lost it, before I had the whole body experience that sex can bring. There is huge difference between having sex and being good enough/ comfortable enough with someone to make amazing love.

I didn't want to have my virginity at college because I thought that would be weird and embarrassing. Also at the time it seemed important that I have sex for the first time before my best friend did.

This. After high school ended it became a race between me and my good friend to have sex with someone first - not in some desperate attempt, but more in a playful challenge to figure out who could do it.

I won. 4 days later ;)
 
I want to say 17 but I definitely could've been 16. Frankly I can't remember and I also couldn't give less of a shit. I just remember it was moderately disappointing.
 
I wanted to wait to do it with someone special so my girlfriend took my v-card at 20.

To be honest while all my other friends were getting laid in highschool, I didn't really care that I was the only one out of our friend group who was still a virgin. I enjoyed their stories about one night stands and laughed along when they'd tease me. I was just happy to lose my virginity to a girl I really care about, it felt awesome!
