Because summer is fucking boring, and Dendix is a fucking rip off, and because ice arena snow melts too fast... Astroturf. Ive never actually tried it, but it must work. If you go to Homedepot and look for the Astroturf long matts, you get these mats that look exactly like the stuff they put in chairlift lines. It doesnt seem quite as slippery, but soapy water can solve that problem. Then just build a little kicker out of wood, find a decent rail, and your done. Ive never actually tried this so I need someone to spend a whole bunch of money to find out that it doesnt work, before I spend a whole bunch of money to find out that it doesnt work.

A couple of the guys on this site already did it and it totally worked.

I forget who it was though... they had a video of it.

They didn'tuse astro-turf tho. They used carpet and soapy water. I guess it worked quite well.

get some carpet that has long fiber thingies sticking out of it. might work. y not pick up another sport?

I have tonnes of other sports, but too much energy to burn in one day.

After my legs are burnt from biking, and fingers shredded from climbing, It'd be nice to session a rail or two just to keep it up.

think how much better you'd be at rails in the winter if you had been doing them all summer.

no other sports? i love skiing more than any other sport but im glad its not my whole life. i ride my dirt bike probably everyother day if not every day...and then ill go out to the lake 3 times a week. i think building a carpet to rail is kinda stupid personnally. a lot of money that you could save to spend on actual skiing. why dont you just get on some rollerblades and jump on the rail. its pretty much the same exact thing when your on the rail

It's not the same. The only way to get the real feeling is skis on rail.

And there's nothing wrong with loving skiing above all else.

All I want in life is to get in one ski movie.

we used a half astro turf half carpet cause we didnt have enough of either but the astro turf slid well. I think you can get peices for really cheap at a carpet store of scrap peices but i dont know how big thouse are. I dont think it owuld be to expensive or you could try marine carpeting like what they use on the floor of motor boats.
