Asthma

Last night, I had my first asthma attack. Does anyone else here have asthma, and how do you deal with it when skiing?

I have it, its not that serious though. I've had asthma attacks before, and usually from something im allergic to. Make sure you have gotten an allergy test and avoid your allergens. After awhile, you just kinda grow outta it. Make sure you take your meds and don't panic about it. THey suk, just keep away from things that can trigger one. Good luck

There is only one advantage to having an asthma. Take your inhaler before you go to high altitude, and it decreases your chances of getting high altitude pulmonary edema. My friend had the condition on a high altitiude bakcpacking/ski trip and his inhaler helped.

damn, i never knew that shit reduces hape, shit, but i have a friend who skis and he has asthma, but he hasnt gotten an attack before

i do-- and there isnt really anything you can do about it, i mean, take you inhaler before you go out, and if you need to, on the lift and stuff, but if you start to feel it, definetly take a break.

I used to have mild asthma, and it only triggerd when i exerted myself. I went to the doctor and he said i didnt have asthma, but hes a dipshit cuz my cuzin had a special kind, prob the same as me. 'athletes asthma or somethin' anyways just try and get an inhaler cuz it helps.

----now i lay me down to sleep, blah blah blah my soul to keep, if i die before i wake ill go to hell for heavons sake.

athletic induced asthma? yeah, i had that until it developed into full fledged... :)
