ok i am coming off acl surgery and i dont want it to happen again. has anyone used these asterisk knee braces? they're super expensive so i dont wanna spend my money until i know how well they work. what do those of you who have worn them think?

another legit question on ns unanswered... c'mon guys or are you all too busy talking smack on kids who ski without poles?

As far as knee braces in general go, I've pretty much only heard positive reviews on the Asterisk. I suggest think you should only wear it for a short while rather than wearing it for a long time, as it's going to be a crutch. You need to make sure your knee will be able to get back to normal, rather than be weakened. So I suggest you don't buy it, rather check out a cheaper brand that works so that you don't have to make an investment on something you won't wear forever.

justl ooked them up on google...they look sick..but 349$ for a brace? damn.

i dont know anyting about them though sorry. A for effort?

Way sick. The Cell is the model you want. I just ordered 2 new ones yesterday. I use them on both knees. Don't even notice them skiing other than how much more comfertable and confident i feel.

I use them for riding moto but I've never thought of skiing with them... I have to wear really high socks (all the way up to my thighs) when i ride, or else the brace grooves in scars where my knees bend, they seem kind of bulky for skiing, for riding the extra bulk is nice to grab your bike. Have you looked at the CTI 2's? They're pricey but some insurance plans cover them.

Take out the knee cap protector thing for skiing. I use it for MX in the summer and remove it in the winter for skiing. Makes it less bulky.
