just a little warning^^^^

bg info: i am from austria and studying international economics

so i had an english course yesterday and the teacher was kinda sure that an intelligent, multilingual person from middle-europe has decent chances at getting an assistantship somewhere on a US university. the point is that i can go to university in austria for free (and in our system making debts for studying wouldnt work), so i really cant go to the US when i gotta pay 20000 a year.

its not like my biggest dream to go to a university in the US, but if someone of you knows anything useful about that topic, i might consider it.

the reason i post that here is to make sure that i hear something about institutions that are situated in the mountains, that might have a decent resort nearby or whatever.

bottom line: DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ASSISTANTSHIPS ON U.S.-universities/colleges, best in skiable regins?

ok, i will talk to my teacher that this word is not a very familiar one. he said its something like you work for the university/college for 10-30 hours or whatever.

i mean, i will check school sites anyway. but what i wanna know is if there are people on your university like me.
