Aspen/Snowmass Area Roomates

What's up guys. Here comes another roommate thread.

I'm looking to move to the Aspen Valley somewhere. Preferably Aspen or Snowmass Village, but willing to live in Old Snowmass or Basalt, but I don't want to live farther away than El Jebel. I'll be looking to get my job back as a ski instructor at Snowmass, and will be looking for a night job as well. I have a dog, so I'd prefer to find a place that's dog friendly, but can bring him back home for the Winter if I have to. Probably don't want to spend more than $850 a month. I've been looking around the Classifieds and there seems to be a decent amount of places that would pan out to be much cheaper than $850 per person if I can find a roommate or few. When I lived there a few years ago, I found myself at Belly Up for a concert almost every week so I like to go out, I am very 420 friendly (but I might get drug tested to get my job back so that might be irrelevant), and my dog is awesome.

Also, I'm not limiting myself to the Aspen/Snowmass area, I just love the atmosphere/region, am familiar with it, have family there, and love the terrain so I'm just leaning toward there. Open to other areas in CO except Scummit County too.

So who's interested, knows a place, or knows people looking for a place/roommate?

Hey. I'm moving to Snowmass early November and would be up for going in with a number of people and get a 3 or 4 bedroom place. Dogs are chill with me.Let me know bro.

Word guys. I'm not in a rush. I'm not going to seriously start looking until next month and then really seriously in October. Just want to get my roommate feelers going.

I gonna be a third year lifty at buttermilk. I'm tired of living at the

club commons so I'm trying find housing somewhere else in snowmass village.

If anyone needs a roommate that doesn't suck I'm your guy. I do my own dishes, I'm nice quite drunk (unless at X games), I always pay my portion of the bills on time, I dont smoke ( but could care less if you you do), and I'm an okay skier to top it off.

Would need to find at least a semi furnished place. Looking to pay no more than $800.00 a month. As long as I have a room to myself I could care less how many people in the house. Just as long everyone pays their fair share.

yo 50Kal I'd go in on a place with you instead of ending up in the commons.

What are the commons like? I've never been to Aspen and I'm gonna be working at Snowmass.

I'm a decent skier, keep my stuff pretty clean, like to go out but have my own quiet bedroom to crash into when I get back.

The commons are not bad at all. It's alot like a college set up. They are nice

especially if its your first season working for ASC out there. Living at commons you can catch the bus that drives up to snowmass every 10 mins for workers.

It's about a 5 min walk from commons. Now If your an older adult you

might have issues living with a bunch of rowdy drunk guys (can happen,

but not always).

At the Commons You get your own room within the apartment and you share a bathroom. Usually 4 people per apartment (they have 2 & 1 person apartments but usually RA's and long term employees get them.)

The greatest part it's only

$525.00 a month + all utilities (T.V., basic cable,Fridge, stove,oven,microwave, bed frame& mattress,ect) except internet, washer and dryer (Coin

Operated W&D).

You meet tons of different people. The commons are

fully furnished except for dishes, pots, pans, and linens.

If you call the guys who run the commons early enough they will put you together with people you ask for.

For me all the people I know well enough there, I don't wont to be

roommates with. So that leaves me with roulette roommates at commons or

paying more for housing somewhere else.

Personally I'd rather find some people and live at commons cause its

really cheap to do but if the right housing option came around I'd take

it.

I'd be up for rooming with you Bryanskis207 at the commons instead of the roulette thing at commons.

Message me if you want to try this or anyone else who gonna live at ASC housing this year

Well I'd prefer to get a house/townhouse or whatever just because I have a dog. But I'd have no problem bringing him back home for the Winter if it meant I had some more roommates to make things more affordable. First choice is just finding a place in Snowmass Village somewhere if possible. Gunna look at the Seasons Four condos and the others around there by the Village Markup.

I'm coming to Aspen on my own so I'm hoping to have some chill roommates to kick it with. It doesn't matter much to me how many as long as I get my own bedroom.

Anyone still looking for roommates? I'm fairly certain I'll be working and living there this winter. Aiming for sometime Sept/Oct

Hey theLorax, fyi if you claim your dog as a service dog no property manager can deny him access under ADA. The one and only question he can ask is "is he a service animal and what does he do for you". he cant make you prove it or anything or he will have violated ADA. he is also not allowed to ask what your reason is for having a "service" dog. I have one for PTSD and he goes fucking everywhere with me. hope that helps open up a few more spots for you.

true they can't deny access for the dog, but they can just deny access and not have a reason (because you don't have to have one) even though it is the dog. you'd have to catch them off guard to really make that work if they don't allow dogs lol

Hay. I'll chime in here.... we're gonna be looking for a place that's dog friendly too. Maybe we can get a house? But we're looking in Carbondale for sure.
