one thing is does anybody know if the 2 main actors are actually like pro skiers back then? or did they just use those 2 guys as actors then swap em out for the skiing segments

my parents friend from ski school in western NY directed this movie (patrick hasburgh), check the opening credits, i met him when i was little and still think of him as a god among men to this day after having seen this film
