It's occasionally very cold. Calgary's landscape is boring and contains many cows, but it is a good place to live. Vancouver is awesome, I love it there. The Okanogan area is very good for waterskiing/wakeboarding/wakesurfing and has great cliff jumping (check out my buddy Alex Hayden-Luck's summer edit on Vimeo) has some good skiing in the winter, and doesn't get very cold, but in the summer it gets really really hot, like 40ºC sometimes. Canada is also one of the best places for a skier to live as long as you are somewhere around Calgary, Golden, Whistler, Rossland or the very many other places to ski.
