This album is trash. He seriously needs to fade away as an artist and stop clogging up my hip hop blogs. I'm tired of hearing about him.
 
asher roth is an egregious "hip-hop artist" he has absolutely zero talent and this is proven by the point that even his followers on here have to save face every time a thread is made about him by saying things like "he has a few songs i like"
 
i downloaded this album a few days after it came out and i was utterly disappointed. shit blows. theres nothing good here
 
similar, but not really. the voice is similar but Asher's got more of a swagged out style and he doesn't act ghetto. Eminem's old style is more specifically funny and just ridiculous. But Em is on a whole other level, but that song just shows that Asher isn't complete shit.

i HATE asher roth. But this lil' freestyle sorta saves him a bit. He's clearly not as talented as anyone around him, he needs cudi to save him cause he can't freestyle as long.

he is not saving anything. i feel like the hype he gets must be some sort of huge joke b/c i cannot fathom how anyone could find him to have flow/talent. how can anyone take hip-hop seriously and then like his shit at the same time-i don't think that it's possible. if you are a fan of his, take some time to evaluate your hip-hop tastes and then tell me if you really know what's up. if you like that cornball no talent flow, so be it but don't tell us that he's saving hip-hop. if anything, hip-hop needs to be saved from the likes of his garbage. there is so much good music coming out of cities like boston now, you just have to look a little further than the frat party scene you and your bros were at last weekend. /endrant/
 
IMO its not just Asher thats killing hip hop, its the radio. I cant even listen to the radio anymore because they just kill every song, no matter how good or bad it is. PLus it doesnt help that they take every already horrible hip hop song and over play it like crazy just to make it even worse. its the radio that makes people think that rap is just all the garbage that they play. most people never even hear the underground stuff like cunninlynguists, jedi mind tricks, and everything else so people think that rap is just like t-pain, lil wayne, and flo rida or whatever....its sad =(

Anyone who says hip hop is dead or is dying is just plain deaf. There's so much good music being put out every day its absurd. Hip hop has evolved and people just have to deal with it.

Sure Wu-Tang isn't around anymore, but did you know Raekwon has been putting out tracks like crazy lately and is dropping a new album soon?

Nas is past his glory days you could argue, but did you know him and Damien Marley are putting out a collaborative album this summer?

Mos Def, one of the most important figures in underground rap in the 90's coming out with a new album that is going to be amazing. He hasn't put anything out in 3 years.

There's just so much music, old and new. People are struggling every single day trying to put out the dopest tracks for people to fall in love with. You just gotta listen

 
Asher Roth got off work early, went to the bank, changed a 10-spot, and fucked rap music up the ass with a roll of quarters. I hate that dude and can't stand the college song.
 
Whenever I hear the song "I love college" or someone singing it I want to blow my brains out.

That freestyle was alright but Kid Cudi totally saved his ass on that last freestyle since he absolutely blew it.
