Anyone read it? Im doing it for a class and i could use any notes/help you can give me.

Im actually about to finish it. It is really tough to comprehend, but luckily my teacher is pretty good so I know whats going on... kind of. What part are you up to?

that book is amazingly written. faulkner is an amazing author. it's hard to grasp because he writes in a form called stream of consciousness. once you understand that writing method, the book is easier to understand. i'm assuming your teacher taught you about it before introducing a book like this, considering most authors do not use this form of writing.basically it is just written from many characters' perspectives. instead of the book being all the same way like 3rd person the whole way through. just become the character for which each chapter is speaking. it is a great book and one of my favorites that i was forced to read. i actually enjoyed it. faulkner also writes great short stories.

yea, i thought the book was a little slow at the beginning, but towards the end it acutally gets really interesting. I have to finish it tonight. Just try to visualize what these people are doing, and it gets so ridiculous. I won't ruin anything for you, but believe me it will get a little better.

Faulkner is amazing. I would reccomend reading for long intervals if possible, especially when you start it. You will enjoy the book more and it will be easier to comprehend.
