heck, I still play my ps2 splitscreen. It doesn't matter that we have to spend 15 minutes flexing the cable until it actually connects, when that little red light comes on I just light up inside, and then I realise that I have to stay perfectly fucking still or else it cuts off and we have to spend another 15 fixing it. There's still nothing better to date.

Goldeneye, NFSU2 and gta vice city(I know it's not 2 player) are the best things of all time.

Not forgetting of course, simulations, when you crash/knock the car, you basically get punched.

money....obviously if it comes with one controller 90% of the people who buy the console will atleast buy one extra controller when purchasing their new console. Boom thats an extra 50 bucks.

Same reason why TV's don't come with a quality HDMI cable (if one at all)

There were different bundles you could buy for more that included games and controllers, but otherwise it's been 1 per console for awhile.

I always thought it was 2, but thinking back, every time my brother and I got a console, there was always a second box with a controller. So we always had at least 2 from day 1, and I'm sure it's the same for a lot of people
