ARV's as rentals??

I saw a lady get off the gondola at killington the other day with ARV's. She couldnt even walk in ski boots and i could tell she had no idea how to ski. Are shops really putting these people on ARV's to learn??

wow you guys can't ski armadas anymore because they arn't 'Core'. Now you have to resort to making skis in your garage.

i would rather see her on those shitty rossis that look like the B1's. The fat ski makes no sense, and the armadas for beginners make no sense either

weird...at a resort in Slovakia they have the Nrdica Beasts (twins) as rentals...I thought that was kinda funny too

i live on the east, and i ski tweaks which are around 80, and yeah, they are fat for just skiing on piste, but still, its nice to have when the seldom snowfall does happen, or when i go out west..

as for the old lady, thats kinda weird.

umm, yeah all major rental companys have all different types of twins in their inventory, she proaly just decided to 'demo' a new pair of skis and they gave her armadas. last year at timberline i saw a woman who was about 70 on scratch fs. when i see stuff like that i just chuckle to myself and think what a waste, you should to.

at my local mountain they have all rossignol skis. They order more skis every year and every year they send 2 pairs of nice skis for them. THis year we got 2 pairs of scratch fs. I was pumped cause I ended up breaking my ski the other day and being I am an instructor they let me rent a pair of scratch's for free :)

Maybe there were her sons and she was going skiing for the first time, and instead of renting he let her borrow his extra pair of skis. My friend just went skiing for the first time and i let him borrow some of my extra equipment, It was amusing watching someone ski for the first time on top of the line equipement.

There are some cool shops out there that let you demo good skis too. Like this place in Steamboat called the One stop ski shop. I went in there looking to demo some Lines, and they let me demo they line binding with a pair of mike nicks, and they just took them off the wall, brand new and everything

tito, im almost positive freds demo's armadas, and the new freeride shop at basin demo's them too im pretty sure.
