Arv 96s or Poachers

So my current skis are pretty trashed so im in a need of new skis and these 2 are the ones im looking. I ski mostly park but also some allmountain, i want something wide, playful, something i can rip on rails but also something that i can go fast and be stable. So any advice? I also would like to know if there are some good deals on these at europe area. Also other suggestion of skis that you'd think i would like are also welcome

from what you described I would say the poacher. The arv is a fun ski but its soft. It certainly does not hold an edge anything like as well and can be pretty unstable at speed. I would say its better in powder as it is softer but as an all round park all mnt ski i prefered the poacher

How soft is the arv? I mean i like mediumly soft skis but i also dont want some ubernoodels, so i want something medium flexy i think. Also how is the playfulness part of the poachers? Are those good for if i wanna just butter shit around the hill haha

I skied the 177 arv quite a bit and it is a soft ski for sure. Personally found it too soft out of the park but the next size up would have helped this. In the park its certainly a playfull ski but being so soft does limit its pop. Its more a super buttery ski then a poppy playfull park ski.

Although the poacher is stiffer it still has rocker so you can butter it no problem. I like that you can push into the ski more knowing it will suport you. Its less buttery then the arv but has way more pop and stability while still being a really fun ski.

How would you compare the flex of the poacher and the arv to revision talismans (my current skis) because the poacher sounds pretty good but im scared of getting skis too stiff for me ha. im also a pretty light guy i forgot to say that

The poacher is stiffer and I would say the arv is a bit softer overall. Don't be too worried about the flex of the poacher. Stiffer skis generally have more pop and so long as you are happy to ride faster they wil still be just as playful. They will be so much better out of the park too
