What do you guys think about taking my Arv 96’s through glades? I feel like I might have a tough time on them but unsure. It’s east coast glades so not too much pow but moguls galore. Length is 178 cm, thanks gs

I have Kartel 98s in a 181 I had no problem skiing moguls and glades with. Ive just bought the next size up 186 and will also ski glades and moguls with those.

What exactly is a glade?

I thought it was just an East Coast coloquialism for tree skiing/off piste, but now you're saying the glades have moguls in them. Is it just ungroomed areas of the mountain?

Sure I could look it uo but I'm genuinely interested in people's thoughts on what defines a glade?

Also the ARV 96 does fine everywhere, I've never tried to ride anything deep or skied any super light snow-actual powder.

Glades are usually more widespread trees, they naturally form moguls as skiers follow similar lines leaving lumps and dips. So tight tree and open tree runs often develop moguls over the season

That makes sense. Thinking about it, when I think of moguls I think of a mogul field not like an individual mogul so I interpreted OP's comment incorrectly and my original understanding of the term was correct. Carry on everyone.

No problem with my 106s. Gonna be a case of the skier more than the ski. That’s not a very wide or long ski by any means.
