Art of flight on itunes

the HD version is 720p (well 1280x710 but its still HD just letter boxed a little) and looked great on my 27" mac screen.

haha i dont think you can i was just asking. Im super pissed because im in Montucky now and left my cable to hook up the lappy to the tv at home :(.

inb4 "where was the urban?"

but seriously, i dont think i blinked. unfreaking believable.

the HD version was acceptable when blown up to 40in with HDMI connectivity. totally worth your 10 bucks everyone.

To add, the HD version looked really good hooked up through dvi->hdmi on my 50" 1080p tv.

Evan, you a mac guy? Do you (anyone) have a recommendation on brands/types of cables to use my hdtv as my macbook monitor? Really wanna see this thing on a bigger screen.

this. just bought the cables last night, didn't feel like looking around for something cheap so i went to the mac store in the mall, paid 19.00 for the belkin mini to HDMI converter, then 29.99 for a 6 foot HDMI cable. macbook pro screen to a 32 in HDTV screen and it looks amazing

best action sports movie ive ever seen. Blown away by the HD cameras, best 10 bucks ive spent in a long time. All those riders are fucking nuts.

the buildup for the chile section and the film crew's relentless attempt to convince the fly crew to go to a certain zone kinda pissed me off. that was the only bad part though, i just kept thinking, 'grow up, if they dont wanna go there go fly somewhere else, its not that big of a deal.'

Dude, did you see that chute they rode though? the movie would have been missing a big part if they had just said "oh fuck it, not a big deal".

to be honest,
i just dont get it.
The sponsors of this movie are giant multimillion dollar companies. Redbull, libtech, quiksilver. The riders of this movies are big name riders. the trailer was pretty good also.
so i watch this movie, and im perplexed: why would these big name sponsors not give this movie a half-decent budget. the locations are lame, to start off. any ski bum in a subaru would be able to get to these places imo.
also the cinematography looked like it was filmed on an iphone. shaky, little to no movement, all in crazy not smooth slomo.
really redbull? cant give this movie enough budget to buy a decent camera? also youd figure that the main sponsor would at least try to get a little bit of branding in the movie. i cant remember one frame when i saw a redbull logo.
now to the real thing: the riding.
I might as well been watching a shitty edit on ski gabber. to be honest, the lack of triple corks really killed me. in a giant 2 year project, they can only get one triple cork? really?? their lines looked pretty easy and mellow to me, i feel like i have done the same stuff on my mountain. all the jumps were really small in the backcountry. i guess the most amazing thing i found was that they found an actual way to do double corks on such small jumps.
dont buy this movie.

I will agree it wasnt what i expect but it still had some fucking crazy big mountain snowboarding like iuse to snow board and i count ride half that shit let alone throw cab 5's and 7's and fucking rodeo 12s i mean it didn't have the jumps that's it that's all did but i still really enjoyed it. So skiers dnt say it sucked was still fucking insane no pro's now a days do that shit they goaround in kin tight pants and do stale fishes on to a down rail, honestly i would rater watch big mountain riding then a pussy go doa gay trick that i could to better when i was 10. Overall anyone that dosent like this dosent know truesnowboarding, was a epic fucking movie.

The part where T.Rice rode a super low conditions with more rocks than snow was so fucking next level.

When Jeremy Jones say's you're the fucking man....YOU'RE THE FUCKING MAN!

if you're just going to watch it on a little computer screen, I'd say wait -- it'd be intense as hell to see that on a big screen for the first time... there's a lot of stuff between the riding, so you might get antsy watching it for a second time w/o being able to fast forward

unless it's more than like five days away, then watch it now

The Art of Flight is a truly a work of art. A master piece. ive never seen anything snow related produced filmed and edited better. I loved it so much.
On a side note i wouldnt be surprised if one of these guys ended up dying soon with the way their riding. THEY NEED HELMETS. I guess its their own choice but come on with the shit their doing dont you think they could just pop one on??? As bad as that sounds its very true.

Ya im going to the world premier in Seattle on saturday so i decided to watch like 10 minutes of it. Those 10 minutes were by far the craziest of any ski/snowboard movie i have seen. I mean hot damn how do they do it.

its tough to say. but this entirely. no movie has gave me this strong a feeling about wanting to see snow fall and click in than this movie. even though there wasn't an ounce of skiing in it. crazy.

i have the movie, with all these people claiming it's the best movie ever made it's REALLY HARD to keep waiting until the premier! I WANT TO WATCH IT SO MUCH BUT DON'T WANT TO RUIN IT FOR WHEN I SEE IT ON THE BIG SCREEN OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG IM GONNA SPLIT IN HALF

look at these

this def. crossed my mind. like we already understand they're insane. although if you give one of them a helmet, it could even get more dangerous for them

I tried real hard to get into this but I really just don't enjoy watching snowboarding. Really glad I torrented this and didn't pay for it, really boring but cool cinematography

I truly don't understand how anyone could enjoy watching skiing and not boarding or vice versa (assuming the movie/edit is quality).

it looks really good. I also tried it on a 1080p projector on a 14' screen and it honestly looked great, better than some other 720p ski/snowboard movies I have watched that werent' bought from iTunes.

idk, skiing just looks better to me. boarders flail their arms a ton and to me it just looks tacky.

yes and no. the no being that I didn't really care for it much, it was cool but not epic or anything near that.

your first post seemed like a clever troll post. now you seem to be not a troll but a sad, foolish person. Sucks to be you if you couldn't enjoy how good that movie was. That 3 with the pow tap by nico was simply the best thing I've ever seen done on snow, period
