Big game today, any footy fans on NS? This game seems crucial for both sides as Chelsea are looking strong as ever. Up the Gooners!
 
eh i don't see arsenal putting up a goose egg at home. your right tho rooneys gunna be all sorts of trouble for sol. although rumor has it that vermaelen might be in the squad fingers crossed

cool to see a thread like this...and to see there are other gooners on here other than me...

and yea, i've been a diehard fan of arsenal/wenger for a long while now, and this is one of the first seasons where i'm honestly just throwing in the towel, and waiting for the world cup to start. this team is shit, and won't win anything. Arsenal are a first class team, but then injuries occur, and we're no better than a 6th place team.
 
true...but at least back then they put up a solid fight. not like today where they just keeled over and died, thanks to almunia (world's worst keeper) And back then they'd pick up a cup here and there, and be true contenders.
 
i trust fabianski more than i do almunia...despite his errors that cost the FA cup in the semis vs chelsea last season.

shit i even trust mannone more. he was impressive when he played earlier this year.
 
almunia is fucking worthless. he'd do well in the championship.
but other than that the arsenal were fucking trash today besides Nasri. Arshavin was dreadful shooting with 4 or 5 shots and none on target. In the second half where we needed to come out strong but rather came out flat as shit. the better team won for sure
 
denilson was shit also. I have yet to be impressed by him at all. He has his moments, but they are few and far between.

Nasri did fairly well (one of my favorite players also) arshavin's shooting was off, and i think fabregas just got frustrated to hell with his team.
 
for sure denilson was worthless today. wenger knew as well and subbed him out. i personally don't rate him at all he hasn't impressed me at all in any game ive seen. clichy was also shocking today getting beat on the flanks consistently. bad day for arsenal. not good at all going into stamford bridge. blah im so pissed
 
clichy at least has the excuse that he's been injured for awhile etc etc, but fact remains he just wasn't good enough.

bit messed up that vermalean was our best player, despite almost not being able to play at all
 
true about clichy but today he was just embarassing IE: the first goal. god i miss van persie. somehow i also miss diaby who atleast provides strength in the middle. after losing 3-0 at home to chelsea, this is just terrible for our title contentions
 
diaby can be frustrating as all hell. He's either complete shit and can't do a damn thing, or he's on fire and plows through everything, and everyone.

we really do need rvp back though. we lack actual goalscorers.
 
the dutch got nothing going this summer. Especially since i absolutely do not want rvp playing for them. Can you believe the dutch actually want him to play for them vs. the US in march? Fuck that! He got injured in a friendly playing for them, like hell should he come back, play 2 games for arsenal, then play another useless friendly.

and the world cup is all about these guys....

yea, and the french will most likely be out in the group stages anyways. sucks. But i'm a supporter by nationality, so i got no choice.

they'll make it to the knockout round easily, but someone will get them and ruin them. I think a team like brazil or germany would put them under. They are a solid team, but they haven't changed anything since pre-euro2008, and everyone else has figured that out.
 
eh i dk about brasil they are pretty weak imo relative to their perceived rank. i dont think germany has the nerve to go the distance either
 
brazil always step it up come world cup time, so they will be contenders as always. Germany won't win it, but they will go far. They are simply too good not to
