One of these days comming up next week the third in commmand general for the us army (teacher told us name but i don't remeber) is going to be on a satelite call and video from iraq along with the general that is in chage of all soldiers in iraq so they are kinda a big deal.. anyways te whole point of the thread is that we get about an hour and half of just questions we ask them so i was wondering if anyone has any question they wanna ask that has been burning them up.... i'll ask the question and get back with response.. not going to ask any dick question and i don't think we are supposed to ask about the election comming up but other than that anything goes and our teacher won't filter our questions or anything and the general's won't know what we are going to ask so they will have to answer off the dome. so hit me up with the questions...

ask him stuff like why are you still there, it was proven that there are no wmd's . I mean there are thousands of questions that would bust him. id love for this dude to talk to my school

"In light of the situation in Iraq, would you send your son/daughter to Iraq to fight?"

He's probably gonna say yes, but it'd be neat to see him stumble for an answer or something like that, you know he's lying if he says yes.

those are all the gayest questions ive ever heard. y are u guys all being dicks. hes the general he doesnt choose to fight them.

ask somthing that actually falls into his area of expertise. something that has an interesting answer you may be interested in instead of being a little douche bag thorn in his side trying to get him stumped while talking to a bunch of highschoolers. ask him how strategies have changed while fighting a hidden and mostly unknown enemy. or how progress is going

wow, some of you guys are dicks. I mean I know your questions are funny and shit but seriously. You should at least have respect for a general. I'm sureh e worked his ass off to be a general, that's no easy feat. He's not just some jarhead. I personally am very opposed to the war but a general is somebody I would have resect for.

Ask him why we are spending over $1 Billion on a US Embassy in Iraq that is the size of Vatican City.

Or you can be a pussy and ask him why Iraqis hate freedom.

To my surprise Iraq is actually starting to look kind of ok. I would probably ask him something stupid like if he had ever shot someone. I asked a police officer at my school that. He said he hadn't but was considering it.

wow those would be the worst questions you can ask, those answers would be so god damn boring and i'm sure you can find the answers online somewhere. I'm not being a dick it's a relevant question, I wouldn't be a little pussy and blow smoke up his ass. I respect a man in that position of power but that doesn't mean i'm going to roll over and ask some fabricated piece of shit question.

agreed. I hate on the guys who send them there all the time, but for the guys who are actually there you have to have respect.

Ask him what the differences between Sunni's and Shiites are and their reasons for their aggression towards each other.

Legit question considering those would be the two Islamic sects that are in constant confrontation in that area of the world, and someone in his position should know the answer. So he will either give a lovely airy answer or an actual answer...I suspect the first.

What are they doing to rebuild the society that they have destabilized? The war should have never started but now that they've gone in and messed everything up, they need to set it straight (which is not what most of the presidential candidates would would do.)

Whatever you ask, make sure that it is respectful, no matter how much you agree or disagree with the war. I disagree with the war, but man do I respect soldiers for the job that they do for this country. Make sure you stress that you respect what they are forced to do.

They are doing a good job of building that $1B fortress of an embassy over there. But they still can't get clean water or electricity to a huge number civilians. In my opinion having basic necessities like that would lower any insurgency greatly.

And yes it's true.

Let us praise our lord and savior George Bush. Let us thank him for our bountiful 9 trillion dollar debt. I am glad to see this mission trip going well.

Actually that would be an easy question to answer. He would make you look like a fool (and you are because all you are doing is reflecting what you hear from others). I don't suppose you are aware that there are 56 countries developing nuclear power right now. There are 2 that are currently developing nuclear power with the number of isotopes to create a nuclear explosion. Guess what they are?

why are we imposing democracy in a region saturated with a religion that cannot coincide with it? islam must be ruled by islamic law (which does not mean terrorism) in order to work according to the Qu'ran, why not help them build up a stable islamic government?

while i think thats a total legit question that deserves an answer he is incharge of the army not the whole political bullshit that is going on in iraq we are supposed to find questions about strategy, tactics and logistics should of said earlier

I would imagine that would be a difficult taly to total up, sure are there more civilians dying than anyone would like to imagine or admit ABSOLUTELY! But to determine if a body found is a civilian or an insurgent would be incredibly hard to determine being that there are Iraqi citizens joining in the fighting not to mention the enemy inst exactly wearing a uniform and placing weapons and bombs in the hands of children would i consider them innocent OF COURSE but at the same time if it is how they choose to fight something is going to be done.

Last i saw the rough total of insurgents killed is around 600,000 im sure some civilians ended up in that figure and im sure it has gone up by now as well.

The good news is alot of reports are coming in from leaders of the insurgents that many of their forces are going defacto and it is becoming increasingly difficult to carry out attacks with increased awareness by iraqi citizens and higher police force starting to take over in IRaq

You can be as opposed to the war as you want, but please don't be such dicks to these guys. Generals, soldiers, anything. My dad works for Lockheed Martin so I've had the privelege to meet a few high ranking military officers, and they're sure as hell not boring. In fact, the last one I met was one of the soldiers from the REAL 'Black Hawk Down.' I'll never forget it. From my experiences they've been really eager to answer any, legitimate question (as in, not "do you prefer headshots or body shots" or something relating to Halo 3). Not only do they answer them, but they answer them well. Damn well. They're not boring guys with dull voices that make you want to fall asleep. The technology they use is actually REALLY interesting too. And whether you're opposed to the war or not, they'll answer the questions you have about them. Asking such questions is SO much more informative and interesting than what's being reported on the news. Believe it or not, there's a ton of positives that they experience and are more than happy to share with the public so that they can show the progress being made.

People who work as a cog in the machine of war and destruction in the military industrial complex like to claim innocience because they aren't solely responsible for the system as a whole. They're "just doing their jobs".

Like they didn't have a choice....

They are complicit in crimes against humanity.

The military blames the politicians for their role in the attrocities, and the politicians blame the militray for their role in the failures. Then the people that build the bombs blame the people they sell them to.

They all work together to accomplish their deeds.
