...armads vs salomons

im going out to buy skis tonight, because theres a big sale at ski barn and i am deciding between armada ar5's (probably 160's) or the salomon 1080 thruster, or solomon 1080 foil's... what do you think i should get?

aaight cool, i think 160's might be too small.. like this is my first year in the park and i can basicaly do rails and not much more, so i think startin with a smaller ski would be better, but they would only last a season then id want bigger, so i think getting the foils would be a better choice because im pretty srue you can get them in 166

how tall are you? I would go 170 as my smallest ski. its always better to have bigger. more versatile. plus if your throwing around a shrimp stick on your feet, you look like a kook.

im 5 feet, and i ride a 158..... i think a 170-176 is good for you. get them centre mounted as well.

Armadas are really sick, but i haven't skiied the salomons so i'm gonna say the ar5s are sick.

If you're looking for a ski that does everything and especially rides sickly out of the park, foils all the way.

For the price in Canada, armada's are too expesive, they're basically average our of the park and blow in big snow.

Armada make nice looking skis. Foils kill everything.

has anyone heard the most armadas..the ones you buy are actually made by elan? and there is a 70% break rate on them? I know 2 guys who had ar5s and the broke in around 3 weeks. that being said id go with the thrusters if you want toski for the whole season.

181 ar5s my friend(montageskier)is 5"9' and he rides 180s and sayd there alot better then his 176s..but i wouldnt go any lower then a 176 for u..im 5"7' 130 lbs and i ride 170s and im movin to something between a 176-180 next year.

5,9? 182's im 5,10 and i ski 183's get the foil or the thrusters they wont have problems the ar5's are decent but i know a guy who's ar5's are delaming on all 4 tips. I go salomon foil.
