My best friend is torn on which 09 Ski to get and he needs your help. +++++Karma to anyone with info! I know these are kids skis but any feedback or info would be awesome. I don't need any links to buy the skis, thats allready taken care of, but an idea of which ski is the best for him would be great! He's '4"8 and is 85lbs and skis 60% Park and 40% All Mountain.
Thanks and ++++Karma

Heres the skis (All 09) :

1. The 143 Armada Coda Jr.

"Groms and skis are like kids and dogs. They grow up together and occasionally abuse each other more than they should. The Coda yips at the heels of aspiring shredders and laughs at the kind of abuse that comes from learning a new trick every single trip through the park. Offering more bang for the buck than any ski in the junior category, the Coda is built for kids and priced for parents. At Armada, we take seriously our responsibility to develop groms into skiing's next generation. We built the Coda to prove it."

2. The 139 K2 Juvy

"Kids continue to go bigger and bigger at younger and younger ages, so they need the equipment
that meets their challenges. The Juvy is not simply an adult ski sized down to fit juniors or a jr. ski
with the tail bent up. It is a true twin tip designed to meet the demands of these charging groms.
The flex, dimensions, size and weight are tailored to fit kids pushing our sport to the next level."

3. The 145 4FRNT STL

"Oh Doctor! *credit Andy Woods. What can I say about the STL!! Welp if you have not skied the
STL yourself you need to get with the program! Now, I could sit here and tell you about the
astounding pop and and liveliness. I COULD go on about the quick response snap from the
HYPERblock wood core or the XXtreeme stompability. I COULD tell you that this ski carves like
a butcher on a thanksgiving turkey, is so light weight that you feel like you are skiing on air, and
that it is undoubtedly the best park ski in the history of civilized mankind... but wouldn't you
rather experience all these things first first hand? Get out there, get on some STL's and see the light! That's right people! Come on in, the water's
fine! STL=KickAss!!!!"

all would be good but i would go with the stls. the extra length will help all mountain and will be more stable in the park

I'd go with armada. Usually ski company's make their kids skis with cheaper material but armada uses the same type of technology and material in their grom skis as their other skis. I dont know about this year though but in the past this is how its been.

thanks, +Karma. That sick that Armada doesn't leave kids out. Is that the same with the other skis? Maybe the STLs but the K2s have always seemed cheap to me. Thanks

Bumb. Need a bit more info. Thanks to all who helped +Karma. Theres plenty more karma to go around so help in any way! Thanks! Also, calling all kids on NS, if you have ever ridden any of these, your feedback would be great! Again, Thank you!

last year my bro rode the armada codas, theyre an awesome ski.
theyre great for everything.
they could shred the pow, and take on the groomers and the park.
and the graphic is sick

Last year I skied with a kid and he had the coda JR and he would just kill it. He would do some rails and jumps and they worked very well. I know he loved them so maybe this can help.

id do codas or stls.

the stl wouuld maybe be a better ski, given the additional length, and im pree sure 4frnt has their shit togegthor.

armadas are always dope though, and have kickass warranty

I'm going to have to disagree and say that this years hellbents are some of the sickest graphics I've ever seen.

yo, codas are definitely a sick ski, in fact i had them last year (before i grew :))
I had such a great time with them and are probs the sickest junior ski out there!
codas fo sho

my friend used to have the ar3s (the kids park skis from a couple years back) and she loved them... they are basically the same as the codas

so, if your friend hasn't already purchased the skis, i would recommend the armadas for sure... i love my ar6s by the way. so legit

How skilled is he in the park? Because the STL isn't a kid ski, it's just a shorter length in a pro model, where as the coda is designed for kids. I would let this decide what ski he/she gets.

go with the stl if he is an aggressive skier and is progressing fast. if ur friend is just an average skier and isn't terribly aggressive go with the codas.

I was just going to say that. I've got them and they are awesome. They will be the best in the power and they kill in the park. Super stable everywhere. My friend had Codas last year and he tried my skis out in the park and in pow and said he liked the Bad Seeds 10x better. They are really durable too.
