what the fuck is wrong with them? they suck. my armadas area week old and they are already hacked to shit. the base is pretty strong but the topsheet has been a piece of shit. its bad

anyone know how the 4frnt top sheet holds up cuz it seemed really similar to the armada's when i was checking them out.

the edges of the topsheet get little chips in them (most about 1/4'' long and 1/16'' thick) but nothing that actually affects the integrity of the ski....the topsheet is still attached to the sidewall just fine

yeah the 4frnts get cosmetic damage just like the armadas but like the guy above me said, it doesnt matter to the ski

most topsheets chip. scratch, PEs, TMs, armadas... the list goes on. if it's not delaming, then dont worry about it

Man, all you need is a little epoxy at the end of the year to fill in all the holes and they will look like new... sort of! but shit, if there not hacked up then your not hard enough!!

Why is everybody buggin out about the top sheets peeling? Sure, it's a hassle, but I must say the AR5's are some pretty hot skis. Your not skiing on your top sheets are you?

Although, my tail edge did fall out, so maybe there could be a problem... Just maybe

fuck the top sheet that was trashed long ago on my armadas. the base and edges are just wrecked. im going to try to warranty them this summer. tyson hall said next years skis have a stronger base. and thicker edges...yay

Is anyone haveing trouble with the ARV bases?? I put a deep hit in through the letters on the base and when i p-tex them it cracks where the letters are. also the top of the R on the base is starting to pull away from the edge and base! Like what the fuck!! i have had them on the hill for 5 days!!

Looks like a lot of Armadas have some kind of defects..but I doubt every pair has.

pretty much any damage that is going on with armadas this year will be solved for next winter. i've riden next years armadas and they have bevelled edges on the top sheet and barely chip at all.

i hope the top sheets change because that would be ultimate. everyone says that they dont care about their top sheets but when you put that first chip in them then you feel like shit but i guess that that comes with riding hard

 
The biggest technical problem with topsheet gouges is that they get water in them which can freeze and crack the topsheet. Plus, they look like shit. If you're like me, you take pride in not only how well you ride, but what ur skis look like. Sure, it's better to ski good than to look good, but if your stuff is like, 5 days old and looks like shit, you have a right to be pissed.

sure they chip the occasional divety doo or scribbity scrap, but in the end their bombproof, ahve youSEEN the armadas so called 'chipping'its not jsut chipping it slike breaking away adn then lifting up so you cna stick a pole INSIDE your ski, the PE's are therefore un'chipable' in the given context

the edge also got smashed in when i was doing a rail. i couldn't even ski on them because of it. i had to take them to a shop and drop 40$ onthem. theyt are an amazing ski but bext years better be durable as hell.

4frnts cihp alot, at least my pair. Ive only had them for 3 days and hey are chipppppppped, but I couldnt care less, its all cosmetic, plus the design is kindof dirty/grungy so it just makes the skis look grungy.

tail edge is a little metal piece on the tail of the ski (underneath) that has a problem with peeling off. My friend has that problem.
