Armada thalls

Okay i need a little help here, I ski the East 60% in park, 40% out.

I'm lookin for a good ski that i could ride this year i prefer a little more flex than stiffness so im looking at last years thall's with the rasta stripe on em. Just wondering if that sounds fitting. Any comments from people who've rode them or anything are dope.

+karma if its real helpful

I havent ridden them, but I heard they suck (from a previous semi-related thread I made). You should look at the disorderlys, or anthems.

That (in my mind) is a very uneducated opinion.
It's like saying 'my friend said condoms were for gays so i don't use them'...

The Thall is a sweet ski man. It is really nice and flexy, great fun on rails and buttering. They hold their own on the jumpline too man, but after about 60ft with heavy landings they get a little washy. I didn't have any problems with it though, they are always controllable.
Outside the park they are fine and not as bad as people who haven't ridden them make out to be! My only worry would be that you are east coast and I guess it's reasonably icy a fair amount of the time. It's the only place where they let themselves down they can get a little chattery and don't hold an edge as well as something stiffer. If you aren't worried about this then they are a very good ski and would use them for maybe 80% non pow days.
But this coming season I am going super stiff to see how i like it.

The AR6 may be a more versatile choice as it's slightly stiffer and a different flax but has the same dimensions.
There are a lot o skis t choose from though.

On the armada website they said they made the 08/09 t-halls stiffer. Fo anyone that rode them, is there really a big difference between the rasta striped ones and next years (the lion ones)?

thanks flying pelvis that was madd helpful i had the dynastar nothing but troubles last season and they were too stiff for my liking, so i wanted to go softer. I used to ride the salomon thrusters (white with blue squares '06?) and they were perfect so does anybody know the flex compared to a ski like that

idk about the rasta ones but i have the t-face ones.... im 6' 200 pounds n i loved them... i also bought troublemakers to use as my all mountain ski but ended up just being on my t-halls the whole time... the tails are alot stiffer than ppl make them out to be while the noses are super soft and butter so it makes them decent all over and sick in the park... i live in ny n i never had any real problems with chatter or problems turning besides when my edges were 100% dull from just hitting rails... when i was out in whistler in the highest level park i never had any complaints on their bigger jumps so if your looking for a fun all-around ski id def. say this is a sick ski

Good skis, I had the black/rasta stripe ones this year and they were nice, but they weren't soft enough. Not nearly as soft as the ARV or other skis like invaders and TM's which was disappointing cause everyone said they were really soft. I also would have liked something fatter for park, like 90+ So yeah, I mean they are solid skis but I would have gotten something else in retrospect.

Oh yeah and if anyone is interested in those THalls (black/rasta stripe) in 176cm USED let me know. Good condition, except for one majorish base gouge that I filled with P-Tex. $150 obo no bindings.

I have the t-hall with the rasta and I love them. The nose is pretty soft but the tail is a bit stiff. It is super fun for rails and jumps but if you land too much on your nose landing switch on a big jump you can have some defficulty landing but its a supse fun ski even if you wanna take it out off the park.
