Anyone have any idea what this ski will be like? Like how stiff it will be and stuff. I like the dimensions, and i like the design, because it's so plain. I don't like anything too busy, (even though i ride pistols lol)

There ya go. Tanner wanted them lo-pro and simple so you can put stickers, or stencils, or whatever you want on them.

From those pictures, they look damaged. There appears to be some sort of big gouge on the rightmost ski behind where the binding would go. Both skis appear to have some yellow markings on them.

I like the new design it's nice and simple. I wonder if they have been able to smooth out the sidewall yet, or at least make them feel more consistant than this years armadas?

just because there is a goalie in the net doesnt mean you cant score

I don't like that idea, personally if I had a ski with amazing graphics I wouldnt even dream of putting a sticker on their it would make it look out of place and ugly.

^it's just glare....see the reflection of the ceiling lights on the upper part of the skis? same thing on the far right one.....and i think this ski is a sick pro model.....it's the same color tanner thinks he is

We defintly need a Tanner Gabber... So whats the width/tip/tail of the skis?

it kind of seems like a park/bc setup.

LMAO, same color that tanner thinks he is. That's gold. The dimensions are 111/80/101, and the length is 176. What do you mean about this years armadas not being consistant, about the sidewalls and such?

I thought Tanner would go all ghetto and youd get a ski that was too busy... this design is so dope.. saw them at vegas... they got a rounded edge for rails(where the you see the sidewall is sharp) and two flex points for increased pop and apparently increased performance in the pipe.. but the only pipe i go has got weed in it!

i'm just playin though.....i really do think it's a sick looking ski.....i prefer low-key over busy shit any day.....and i'm interested to see how it rides

The sidewalls are sick. 60 degrees at the tip and tail with vertical under the boot/binding area, reinforced for rails, as per JibTech's explanation. The ski looks amazing graphics wise, and should be fun to demo. Nice length too. All of Armada's stuff looks awesome for next year.

Im just wondering how stiff it is though, if it is pretty stiff, like if itll do good on groomers and stuff, i'll definatley buy it.

Dang I was hoping it would be as stiff or stiffer.

I'm sure the ski will still have tons of pop, but from what I read in the Armada catalog today, whcih was very well put together by the way, so props to DaveLevin or whoever put it together, it said that it would hbe a little softer flexing than the AR5.

I would imagine that it is going to be a pretty sick ski either way.

i bet it's more fujative-ish than any other ski, since i would imagine tanners pro model to be mainly a park ski.....btw is the underboot pic of tanner gorilla-ing a rail? i can't quite tell

Its good to know you've collected a lot of facts before making such a well informed opinion. It's also good to hear you make sure you have riden an Armada ski before you make such outlandish opinions.

The graphic under boot looks like a jet-fighter from the front. It would be pretty cool if armada included a stencil kit along with the sticks ala the Forum Street Dweller.

no that white graphic is just tanner crouching down

If you guys are not into soft skis you don't need to let everyone know. The ski industry needs some more soft skis on the market at least softer than the current products, but there are plenty of company's that make solid stiff twins, you can go buy from them.

The Burton Dominant also came with a stnecil pack to use on your board or whatever else you felt like using them on.

i think its pretty cool. function over form right? and the dimensions and length are spot on. looks pretty tight, hopefully it holds up and it will be a sick ski

i couldn't be any gayer? why, cuz i don't like armada? everyone i've talked to that owns them say they're delamming like crazy! i haven't heard a good thing about them yet even from guys trying to sell them in their shops. if you ask me, you need a lot more than a good team to sell skis!

Pipe-monkey.. could you be more ill-informed. There have been no delamming complaints.. in fact there have been virtually no warranty skies. None of the shops have good things to say?? Change your name to crack pipe- red arsed orangutan cos that rosy red hole is the only thing you talk out of

the armadas do have a bit of a delam problem, but its a a super small price to pay for how good the ski performs. And yes pipemunky i do own a pair, so consider me the first to say good things about them.

i think Id rid 'em .. and theyre just so simple graphic-wise it makes them sweeter

Yeh i too have a pair of AR5's, and personally I can say ski-wise theyre awesome.. durablility wise.. eh. They delamed on me, bases are soft as crap, topsheets chip like theyre paper, and my tail plates fell off. Personally I'm sending them back, skiing whatever I get back, and then will not give em a try for a few years until they get everything together. Skiing, they rocked the house, they just need a tad bit more on the durablility side.

I like to ski.

Yeah from the sounds of it armada has to work on their durability.
