I just got my new Freeze in the mail and I saw an ad for Armada Skis and they had a team of JF, Julien, Tanner, JP, and Boyd Easley had these riders really switched companyies or are they just getting T-Shirts and shit

Armada is a company started up by some of the top skiers in the world. Why not buy a pair of skiis that are constructed from the knowledge of real professional riders.

you guys do realize that every ski is designed by the pros right? where do you think the 1080 that now seems to be the 'uncool ski' came from. Do you think the head of solomon who is probably some race fag just decided to make a ski that you could land backwards on. pull your heads out. Every ski, especiallly ones like the 1080, scratch, lines, and seth pistols are designed by the pros. Ive had my 1080s for three years, skiing them everywhere in all conditions and railing them harder than most the rest of you ever will and they still kick ass. unfortunately they no longer fit me so im getting new ones.

what i was saying is that just because armada is new and cool doesn;t necessarily mean they make the best ski, people need to actually ride them first maybe, do some research. it seems that just because armada is new and run by skiers which i totally respect everyone is running out there and gonna buy their skis. i think people need to think for themselves sometime maybe actually veer from the pack. you know its called originality and i think that alot people will just buy armadas cause it says armada on em and they think they are badass now. which many of u have already proved with some of those posts callin me a pussy and shit. think for yourself next time.

 
alright - not to dog on jp auclair, tanner and boyd and the rest of the armada team and all but they have no idea how to MAKE a ski, sure they can ride the hell out of them, but when it comes to construcion and the metal synergy of the edges and shit they have no idea. thats why fuckin rocket scientists from like boeing work for salomon and rossignol becuase they knwo hwo to fix the problems with the skis... so when a team rider says hey i keep chippin the hell out of my side construction the ski techs know how to fix the problem and do so... just like rossi's new sidewall construction on the scratchs with teh angled down-ness ... thats fuck genious becuase whenever you bail or fall your edges smack against your sidewall and give you those fatty ass gashs in your ski sidewall that causes everything to delam and shit, with the angle it makes it harder for the edges to gash thus keepin your skis in better shape -- i mean its great for all the top name pros to start their own company but they should leave that to the rocket scientists and jsut do what they do best ..... skiing

boyd and tanner probably designed the top sheet and graphics for the scratch and told the real engineers to make them wider. I agree with the guy that said that the guys from salomon and rossi have people who went through years of school should be making the skis. I don't care if the fucker who designed my ski can snowplow as long as when i'm riding them they hold up. I guarantee that armada will have all sorts of problems like Line did when they first came out. No matter how many pros you have on your team there will be problems when you mass produce a ski for the public.

all right, let me clear myself up. i don't think tanner and body desinged the scratch all by themselves. but they told the engineers what needed to be improved, added, etc. the same thing with armada, everybody on the team probably had some input to the desing of the ski. and they have been in testing for over 2 years, and are supposedly going to be the thoughest ski out this season. i really don't think they will have any major problems

alright to answer B-Flip's question, no doubt Armada's will be selling skis in Canada and the site is supposed to be up today at 12 PST according to some other thread (it's 12:45p.m. right now and it's not. I would be really surprised if D-Structure doesn't carry them and I think Comor Sports in the Lower Mainland is trying to get them.
