ARMADA SKIS WARENTY?

Usually once you touch a rail, warrenty won't cover it. Clearly the skis couldn't handle the next level skiing abilities of the gucciman. I'd take it to the supreme court

If I ran a ski company I would leave my warranty policy up to a popular vote on the NS forum. Put your pics up, if you can win this crowd over you get skis, if not, you get no skis and shamed for life.

At least from my experience their warranty process is god awful. I broke a pair of 2016 edollo's the third day I was on them, and I talked to one of their employee's that worked for their warranty department, and he basically told me I wash shit out of luck.

That’s complete and utter horseshit, generally if people aren’t assholes all of the warranty guys are pretty liberal in replacing skis. You gotta understand, we can only send you new skis if it’s determined that there’s a factory defect. If not, the best we can do is offer you a crash replacement, which is essentially our cost plus shipping (we make no money on these). If it’s not determined there was a factory defect (generally delamination or poorly pressed skis) then our factory won’t replace the skis, and we would lose money on replacing your skis. People don’t realize how good crash replacements are.

Gucci, why the fuck did you rip the edge out of the ski after it cracked? If that shit got caught on a box and ripped out, how is that Armada’s problem? We used 2.5mm edges on that model, industry standard “thick” edges. If you hit something with enough force to break that edge, how was that our bad? I get it, you’re bummed your ski broke, but bad mouthing the quality of the skis is a tired approach and will likely get you nowhere.

I actually went into the warranty situation really calmly and never said anything bad about the company or to the employee I talked to. We actually had a nice conversation, but I was told I wasn't able to get my money back or a new pair of ski's after they de-laminated and became completely un-skiable after 3 days on them. You could have messaged me personally if you wanted to hear more about my experience with Armada's warranty department, no need to freak out on someone for voicing their personal experience. GET A CLUE!

gucciman doesn't touch rails, he touch hearts

I love armada and think the company itself is amazing and they make some of the best skis on the market however durability, especially on dollos, is absolute trash. I have personally seen upwards of 20 pairs of dollos that were completely obliterated worse than any other skis I think I have ever seen. No hate on armada at all but the dollos are just not a durable ski and this should be addressed by armada. When someone is spending upwards of $400 to $500 on a park ski to SKI PARK ON there should not be this many delam and edge issues. I understand that you can not have a ski warrantied after skiing rails because rails will inevitably fuck your skis but most of these issues i see on dollos are not underfoot edge issues but are tip delam issues which is bullshit to anyone buying these skis and needs to be fixed plain and simple

I kinda get this.

But at the same time if I'm mountain biking and I crash into a tree and crack my frame I don't start yelling at the company online to give me a new one.

Companies do their best to make durable products for the price that they charge. I doubt armada is making their skis shitty to sell more. People would stop buying them.

When you do these sports you're taking a risk with your equipment. Sure my mountain bike might be marketed as tough, but if I slam into a tree or case a jump and break it that's on me. Even if I was using it for its intended purpose.

I really hate that people start threads about this shit before talking to the company. Give them an opportunity before you give your problem out to the court of public opinion. Even if the post itself is relatively tame, it still opens up a whole can of worms for every other kid who broke their skis to air their dirty laundry. Breaking your skis sucks ass I get it but what purpose does a thread about warranty stuff have? all the info one would need to pursue a warranty is readily available both on NS and every single ski companies webpage.

If you bought your skis at a shop, go to the shop where you bought your skis and get the shops help if you really need it, they have a closer relationship with the brands reps than you do, and may be able to help you garner a favorable result. Or maby not, maby the reason the ski broke is actually the users fault, or just shitty circumstance. Even in those cases brands will sometimes help to some degree, even if by all logic they shouldn't.

To be perfectly fair, the OP was only asking about the Armada warranty process, looking for info on how to go about the whole shebang. Other posters turned this into a flame war re: whether it should be allowed or necessary.

as a rule of thumb, if you are respectful to the company, you get better results with their customer service. don't post pics on social media or ns badmouthing the company, just go directly to the company as soon as possible and respectfully ask what they can do. more often than not, they will try really hard to help you out. for the company, its all about maintaining a good reputation, thats the only incentive they have to help you out, so if you have already bad mouthed them, then whats the point? why would they want to lose money replacing your shit if you have already bad mouthed them? i have had awesome experiences with armada's customer service. last year i fully snapped a blizzard gunsmoke (not the company's fault, any other ski would have snapped too), blizzard said i could buy their demo pair at a decent discount. i then contacted an armada rep who said that they had 2 pairs of AK jjs get returned for warrenty claim, and the non broken ski on each pair was in great shape. they gave me the two non broken skis, no charge, i picked them up at their warehouse the next day. still skiing them today, they have held up fantastic. they replaced my powder skis, even though it wasn't even an armada ski that broke. the rep wasn't a close homie or anything, just a guy i met one other time through the shop where i work, and he really worked hard to help me out. armada is legit until the end of time as far as i'm concerned. i steer as many shop customers as i can towards armada now.

Since no one replied to the actual question gucciman7 posted, here ya go:https://armadaskis.com/warranty-policy/

And Gucci, you're pretty much fucked. It's not covered under warranty in any universe. It boggles my mind how people ever think this. As someone said above, you might be able to weasel out some "crash skis" from them if you're polite and honest, but that's about it.

Or just have your sponsor send you a new pair.

they gave me a warranty, but the only thing that was bad about their process was it took them 9 months to send me replacement skis, can't complain since they were free tho

i have three pairs of armada skis and the only problem i've had is the top sheet on all three have chips and chunks missing. idk how people mess up armada skis so bad. also rail are the killer of warranties so if you blow your edge or sidewall out that's your fault. the warranties basically are made for old people who dont ski park just except that you lost money on your skis.

I know a kid whose poles were stolen at a resort, so he posted on ns about it and Armada sent him a brand new pair for free. Pretty legit if you ask me.

My Pipecleaners were pretty kickass until I ripped the edge out. It had been cracked for a long time and I was hitting lots of rails. I epoxyed it back in place, haven’t skied on it yet but I’m hoping it holds. I’ll shut up now.

Same here about the chips. Mine were chipped beyond belief on the top sheets after a few days of riding. Although that's probably because I was acting like Dorothy on the lift clacking them together and such getting snow off them. Still much faster topsheet wear than I'm used to.
