Guys Got new set pipecleaners 2012 three weeks ago and went skiing only 3 times on Sunday!

Skis are fast but quality OMG! One edge is cracked allready and the top sheet is like the map of Europe!

Dont care for the top sheet but dont want to ride skis that have a cracked edge on the third time riding them624497.jpeg]View attachment 624496!

On the other hand customer service told me that this damage was from not hitting rails properly and the warranty doesnt cover the edge! WTF park and pipe skis or downhill skis Armada never again ! SHould never sell my walls miss you Volkl !

yes that is a policy almost every ski company has....

that is 1 fucking edge crack

dull your edges before you hit rails

stop bitchin

my '07 k2 silencers have been chewed up and spit out, have had edge cracks for years, and still work great. youjelly.gif

YEAH will ride them like this to the end but didnt expect cracks on the 3rd day! At least 2 months of serous riding but shit show continue as allways so Fuck you Armada hope that you are happy with your quality l will make sure that everyone I know wont buy your skis! Volkl Wall so many rails and boxes and jib not single crack miracle hmmmmmm!

Thanks guys,

Just doesnt feel right to crack so soon! Will ride them and sell them after the season is over! I am done with Armada

Sometimes its not the company, but the shop employee that are too lazy to fill out the paperwork and put the effort into shipping.

But, skis are almost final sales. You have to be able to prove that there was a problem with fabrication. Fisher was willing to take in their addict pros 08 with the binding, but the shop refused to do the work telling me there is no way they are going to help. That shop did go out of business

You are a fucking idiot. Armada makes arguably the best park ski you can by. What the fuck did you think would happen when you bash metal against metal? and did you seriously just expect Armada to send you a new pair of 700$ skis because of an edge crack that you wont even notice?

fucking rattlesnake

what did you really expect? All ski/snowboard companies have an impact damage section to every warranty. That is not a manufacturer defect, you clearly slammed onto rails and that is what happens. Dull them up a little and ski on. Dont take it out on armada because your 2 year old skis cracked when you jumped on metal.

I have been disappointed with my arvs this year durability wise. I have thalls from 4 years back and they have held up pretty damn good. All the edges are still intact and so is the core. In this one season on the arv I delamed both tails and somehow managed to delam 6 inches above the nose of the binding. I can tell that quality control might have smoked just a tad bit too much that day when my skis were made cause the fiberglass layer is all over the god damn place. Its not smoothly put down at all and in some places the carbon is put down weirdly. All of this really depresses me cause the skis ride beautify but god damn I know they are not going to make it even a quarter of next season.

This is stupid. Every ski company out there says that your warranty is voided when you ride on anything but snow. edges will crack if you are sliding rails. its like expecting a hooker to give you a free ride because she likes you, its not gonna happen!

you seem like a little bitch ARMADA makes some sick skis ill admit my first pair were the codas from 2011 they worked great but edges came out towards the end of the season. the worst thing ive had with my AR7'S so far was the edge dented towards the tip so i dont know what you ski like but whatever

durability is tricky. sometimes people just get a pair from a bad batch of skis, and i have found that if it is truly unridable within a season most companies are pretty good about replacing it.

it sucks for both parties involved but with that said, you didn't really think they would refund you for a little edge crack did you? you sound like a 14 year old who is finally heavy and talented enough to actually damage his skis and can't understand why the world won't conform to his needs. detune those edges, suck it up and keep skiing.

dude, my friend had the whole sidewall of his chronics ripped off and he still slays on them. that little edge crack shouldnt be a problem

you really expected armada to warranty that?! wtf dude thats literally nothing. if i was the guy at armada that saw that fucking warranty request i would have laughed my ass off before rejecting your ass. ive ridden all sorts of different brands of skis over the years an i WISH they all looked that good after 3days

now im just thinking so please do correct me if im wrong, but these are pipe skis. perhaps they arent meant for rails therefore the edges are not the same as a ski that is?

yea i guess. i was just thinking that since they were pipe skis and there are obviously no rails in a pipe that it could have been a possibility

I took my Oakley crowbars and smashed them against a metal rail and they broke and Oakley won't warranty them! Waaaahhh!

I dropped my phone onto a metal bar and the screen cracked and Sprint won't warranty it! Fuckers!

I drove my car into a metal pole and it broke and Subaru won't warranty it! Those assholes!

getting it? No?

I smashed A on a metal B and C won't warranty it! #$%&!

Its funny how you think an edge crack will do anything to your skiing. I've had my thalls for 2 years and the edge is literally in waves because of countless cracks. It still skis fine and probably a little better than fresh edges because i never catch on rails. You're just a pussy.

Hitting a rail is like hitting a sledgehammer against your skis. Cracked edges have little effect if you just keep it as the outside edge of your skis so rails don't get as much impact.

Hitting rails + cold temps + impact strain hardening = all edges ever will crack when hitting rails. It isn't a big deal. Dull your edges underfoot as people have said to help reduce the possibility of causing a crack.

The rail doesn't care how long you've owned your skis for, if you're gonna smash a sharp metal edge against a rail, a crack is obviously possible, whether it be on day 1 or day 100. That tiny crack won't do anything, detune your edges, and keep using them, you're not gonna get warranty for something retarded like that.

I have a friend who snapped a pair of this years ar7s about a month ago. He emailed armada and they sent him next years

If armada's not high enough quality for you, I don't think anything will be. Especially not Walls, you think an edge crack on your third day is bad? How about you delam it on your second. Walls are not going to be anybetter. I just want to clarify, I'm not bashing Volkl at all, but Armada's the most high quality ski on the market right now, you took skis designed to never see a rail and cracked the edge, that's not their fault. Learn to take care of your skis, and be grateful you have your brand new ones.

I love k2, but I'm putting them at a close second, simply because i ripped edges and heelpieces out of them, haven't done either with armadas yet. *knock* I've also never seen an armada snap, ever. I've seen it happen to k2, granted not very often, but it has happened.

the whole OP just screamed this to me
