the ski basically is the scratch! they're charging way too much for the skis and the site isn't even THAT good. they should at least have the soft goods sections up even without the online purchase. im disappointed.

Well, I dont have much an opinion on the Armada thing, but those graphics are damn sweet looking.

I really think K2 is stepping shit up though, they got the Enemy, AK Enemy and Public Enemy, you dont need anything else, good prices, sick skis, K2 really impressed me this year. As for Armada, we'll seeing as I, like almost everyone else on this site, know butt fuck nothing about them except for graphics, price and team I'm going to wait before I judge them, they will most definantly be better than early Line though.

All of you calm down, this is a debute company, they don't have the big ass finnancial backing of companys like salomon, dynastar, rossignol, k2, or any of those companies. They are still a rider owned ski company that has spent two years developing the skis before releasing them, support them cause they're supporting the movement not because they cost too much. And even if you can't afford them right now(like me) don't rip on them. Wait untill they can get them mass produced then the price will drop.

Those graphics are pretty weak. I think it's cool what those guys are doing, but whoever came up with the colors is blind. I was hoping for something else as far as looks go. We'll see about the ski when it hits the hill.

They resemble the scratches based on the simple design. There's nothing to them. I don't think they look good even. And they are extremely exspensive. And in order to get them mass-produced, they need initial sales revenue, which they aren't going to get a whole lot of with prices like that their first year.

you guys have to remember that they just started from nothing.....These skis have 18 months of research and are built to last...you get what you pay for, but you still got to wait till January to get em.

ARMADA.. Well, I like the fact that they're skiers putting skis out there for skiers - great movement - but that doesn't make the skis any better than the other companies'. They have skiers testing, engineers building, etc...

I think Armadas skis are expensive - but I'm sure some people will buy them... In a couple of years Armada will be mass producing, and having designing experience to make great skis, but I'm not seeing it happen for the first ski a company throws out!!! Oh, and when Armada does start mass producing, what makes them different from all the other ski companies then??? It's not like with surfboards, where you've got the little guy fine tuning his own boards in the local surfshop, that kicks ass on the waves at that beach...

 
i think alot of people are missing the point of armada. I dont know how it was expected of them to make a ski far more superior than other companies. I think armadas goal is to make a company that skiers can be happy representing on the slopes and on the streets. Something that represents what our sport is about. Not a spandex clad racer slaming into gates. Whether or not you like the skis that they made this year or not I dont see how dissing them is helping out our industry. Just my 2 cents.

Where I live, there are five ski resorts within 10 kilometers of my house. Everybody who lives here, whether they're rich or poor, skis all the time. In the winter, skiing's a way of life. The ski resorts are open until 11 p.m. If you don't know what to do, you go skiing. When you get off from work, you go skiing. Mathieu Paquette about St-Sauveur

 
Very nicely put, and I am sure 90% of the people on this site would buy a pair of thier skis, if they could actually afford 600 dollar skis, but unfortunalty most of us cannot. Thats why I plan on buying a hoodie or something. Why? Because I am going to help the companies that help me.
