Armada pole systems

anyone have them? i am thinking about gettting some thall poles cuz i herd they flex a lot so you dont break them when you fall on them.. also are the poles worth it?

The armada poles from my viewpoint aren't flexy at all. They are super stiff. But they use ultra high quality Aluminum like 7075. Therefore, they are less likely to snap. BUt if you do.. its cool b/c you can buy a single replacement. If you're looking for something a little more flexy with the same 'system' look at possibly the joystick carbon.

i dont want armada or joystick poles, i didnt make this thread, im just laughing at people who spend that much on poles.

True, I just steal them when people leave them at the hill, I figure anything that's there the next day is fair game.

I swear, people think they're so cool when they use their thriftstore, or rental poles. Of course they're the most unnecesary piece of equipment, but don't go around claiming how cool you are.

this is what i do. i buy like 4 or 5 poles from our ski swap at the beginning of the year. they usualy range inprice for $5-$20 for decent new or used poles and use them throughout the season replacing them as they brake

hmm even with the new armada therory of replacing single parts a single shaft is going to cost more than finding a pair on the ground when the hill closes.

yeah i agree with you.

and when people brag about their cheap clothes, some of us don't like to look like dirtbags

i have them. my parents got me them for christmas. the only reason i like them is because they simply say armada on them, so just get a normal cheap pair, and save yo money

i have the t halls, picked em up at a tent sale for 50% off.. so i thought why not.. as soon as they break its back to the good old rental poles.

if you're looking for a super flexy pole for cheap, check out the k2 4 speed. my shop has them for $40, which is way under what any other composite pole usually goes for.
