first of all i'm not trying to prove i was right thru this post but want to elaborate on something
i never said the base was soft, i said it was less durable. since it
is more dense it will be more prone to damage (chips and core shots)
which are a lot harder and more expensive to fix on a sintered base.
same might consider that compromised durability, by definition. if you
look at jib snowboards, a lot of them use an extruded base since it can
take more abuse. for a sintered base to stay fast it has to be
pampered, an occasional rail obviously won't hurt but when you pay that
much for skis it's important to consider these things. just thought i
would put some facts out there,
