Armada Pipe Cleaners

I found a good deal on them and i was wondering if they were a good ski. I was lookin for somthin thats good for jumping and could handle rails and boxes. I was also considering the suspects but ive heard bad things bout them.

solid ski, i'm probably gonna get it for next season as well. it's also a really fast ski hence the base not being as durable as compared to the AR6, keep that in mind if you're gonna session rails super hard,

peace

Not true at all, a sintered base is actually more dense than an extruded base like the AR6's. The only soft one's were the first years. The Pipecleaner is sick and just as durable as my other skis from Armada.

I have a pair of the first year Pipe Cleaners and they are sick skis.. they have been durable for me, almost two seasons on them and they are still going, they only have a few edge cracks. Awesome skis I say go for it.

first of all i'm not trying to prove i was right thru this post but want to elaborate on something

i never said the base was soft, i said it was less durable. since it

is more dense it will be more prone to damage (chips and core shots)

which are a lot harder and more expensive to fix on a sintered base.

same might consider that compromised durability, by definition. if you

look at jib snowboards, a lot of them use an extruded base since it can

take more abuse. for a sintered base to stay fast it has to be

pampered, an occasional rail obviously won't hurt but when you pay that

much for skis it's important to consider these things. just thought i

would put some facts out there,

peace

Haha, I am aware of the difference between sintered and extruded. I assumed you were talking about the soft bases of the original PC's, but that's irrelevant since the new ones will last forever on rails too. I know because I have them....and my friend has the originals and last years. They are easy to take care of. If you want them fast, wax. If you don't care, you have a stiffer version of the AR6 essentially.
