Armada pipe cleaners vs. AR7

I'm trying to decide between the two. I am 5'5 120 lbs and ski 90% park the rest is groomers and relativly light backcountry but i am almost always in the park. I do about 70% jumps and 30% rails in the park and I want to know what ski is better for me. I am worried that the ar7 will be too stiff because i heard that they are wicked stiff and i am really light so that is my biggest concern. I was wondering if anyone knew if the ar50 sidewall thing that the ar7s have really makes a diference, I saw them at a shop and they looked sooo sick but i can get a pair of last years pipe cleaners (if that makes a difrence) for 100 bucks less than ar7s. +k for advise

I just got the ar7s and im as well not the heaviest guy but all i heard was that the pipe cleaners are a bit heavier to make pumping in the pipe easier. not sure if that is the same for last years pipes and im not sure if you would even be able to tell the difference just an opinion id say go with the ar7s they are super poppy

Thanks. I hope you don't mind me asking but how much do you way and what size ski do you use. Does the ar7 have a super low swing weight because that an pop are the two most important things to me

The AR50 side wall on the AR7 is supposed to lower swing weight. Also keep in mind that the pipe cleaners have the race base. So if you don't want to wax your skis a lot, you should go with the AR7. If you are worried about stiffness, the THalls might be better, but they are more expensive if you don't want to spend the money.

I weigh like 140 to 145 and am like 5"9 and i ski the 176's and like the guy said the swing weight is supposed to be lower

Pipe Cleaners on rails and boxes are fine as long as you wax the base frequently. I had a pair last year. I would wax mine the night before I went skiing and I never had a problem with the race base. If you don't wax them, the bases dry out and become very brittle and hence not as durable. As long as you keep them saturated with wax, they should be at least as strong as the S7 base.
