Which ski would be better for me I'm 6'1 high and 176 pounds. I want a ski for park and pipe and so I looked up for the Pipe Cleaner and the 4Frnt STL. Which ski would be better for me.

Boots: Which boot will be better Dalbello IL MORO or Dalbello Krypton. It both fits perfect.

thx

the STL is a much softer ski. the pipe cleaner was designed originally for, you guessed it, the pipe. that being said, the pipe cleaner is a stiffer ski, i couldnt tell you exactly how it flexes compared to the STL, or any other ski, since I have not skied the STL or the pipe cleaner, or even flexed either of them for that matter. Since the pipe cleaner was designed for pipe, it is going to be that much better for pipe riding, it has a faster race base, which will need a little more matinence than the STL. Bottom line, if you want a pipe and park ski, i would personally go for the pipe cleaner, its basically a slightly stiffer version of the ar6, with a nicer base as well.

pipe cleaners are a lot lighter than stls or most other skis on the market for that matter. they're pretty stiff skis, but poppy as hell. i can't speak for the current model, but my bases are a little soft so i don't jib too much on them.

I would definitely go with the pipe cleaner. I skied both, the 181 PC and 183 STL and I like the PC much better. Lighter, way more pop, and felt a lot more solid. plus all my aramda's have seem to withstand more abuse than 4frnts.

Iit comes down to flex and comfort. Personally I prefer il moro's
The biggest difference is in the cuff. The Il moro's cuff flex is noticably smoother than the cuff on krypton pros. On the pros it flexes great for a while and then it just stops abruptly when the buckles have been flexed out. You don't notice this until you've had a pro on one foot and a moro on the other. I switched to the il moro cuff and I'm really glad I did. I love the smoother flex and its been easier on my shins.
Although the cuff of il moro's is noticeably smoother, the pros cuff is stiffer and provides a little better response when it comes to charging. Also the il moro cuff allows the boot to flex more. So even though il moro's and pros have the same shell. The shell on il moro's will flex more than the shell on pros making it feel softer. Personally I enjoy a softer flexing boot. Il moro's are soft to medium while pros are medium to stiff.
The second biggest difference is the liner. Pros come with a gold liner (high density foam) while the il moros come with a silver liner (medium comfort density foam) The pro liner has the best response. but the the little bit of extra softness in the silver line is great for park and pipe riding. I know a handful of people who didn't love their gold liners and switched to silver and were very happy.
Besides that the only differences are spare parts. Pros come witha spare firm footboard but if you're riding park you're going to want the anti shock footboard either way. Pros come with a stiff and medium flex tongue, il moros come with a soft and medium flex tongue.
So it comes down to if you want a comfortable smooth flexing boot that will perform very well in the park lean towards il moro's
If you want a boot that responds the best and will perform everywhere and don't mind that its slighly less comfortable and not quite as smooth flexing, lean towards pros

The rampages are similar to the pros with a softer shell and a cheaper liner. They have a d-59 shell which is softer than the d-62 shell of il moro's and the pros. Overall the rampage shell is a softer version of the pro comes with a medium flex tongue.
The pros and il moros come with gold and silver i.d liners respectively. The i.d liners are 100% heat moldable and incredibly light. The inside of the liner forms to a perfect custom fit around your foot while the outside forms to fit every nook and cranny in the shell. Its unique to id liners there's no slop between your liner and shell so the shell, liner and your foot act as one seemless response.
The rampages come with a truft liner. Comaritively its heavier than i.d's but about the same weight as other typical liners. Its not 100% heat moldable but it certainly is not a bad liner. They're pretty comfortable and have decent response. Only downside is they tend to pack out rather quickly so you may need to buy new liners around 50days.
Rampages are going to perform like a slightly heavier, softer flexing, tad less responsive version of the pro's.

You are wrong. If you have not skied them or flexed them don't say what you think (not trying to be a dick) but really. This is the flex
STL's = Stiff, heavier than the PC
Pipe Cleaners = Soft, really light compared to the STL's and many other skis
If you are heavy enough to flex them the STL's will be a great ski, taking it that your 6'1. But if you are light then go with PC.

this brings me to question, have you ever flexed or been on either of these skis? the general consensus is that the STLs are soft, they even stiffened this years up a bit, and the pipe cleaners are stiffER.... i never said they were stiff skis, just that they are stiffer than the stls..... i mean like go searchbar stl, or pipecleaner, youre going to hear close to exactly what i said earlier

Here is a chart showing the flex of both of the skis. The PC is stiffer. End of story.

I have the red/tan Pipe Cleaners and love them! I haven't skied the STLs, but I had T-Halls before and they are more similar to the STLs, and I like the Pipe Cleaners much better. I really is preference. But after skiing a stiffer, poppier ski, I like it a lot more than softer, butterier skis.
