lookin to buy new skis, good things, bad things, hype, rumors. seem to lean towards armada but havent heard much bout 4frnt

Try not to hit rocks with Armada bases cause they'll gouge, 4frnt hasn't got a real twin tip. Myself, now that I've skied armada... I'm not going back. Riding them just makes you want to buy more Armadas, and more, until you upset the economy somehow.

Not my impression at all... AR is really well constructed. And strangely enough, someone was just telling me that his shop's 4frnts weren't moving at all because people seem to think they look and feel "cheap". So.

yeah my 187's are twinned aswell, I have come to the conclusion that all skis are good only skiers are bad. Ive never tried a ski that I thought sucked (Except for the "nordica beasts")

yeah 153's are pretty much skiblades, always buy a ski bigger than you think you can handle, once you get used to them you'll be better off. Plus you don't grow out of them as fast

try the elan mo2. armada presses their skis threw elan. kinda funny get the same ski for about 400 bucks less. don't be a fool wrape your tool.

 
dont waste your money on armada or 4frnt...unless you dont care about warrenties and service

if you break skis buy a big name brand so you can replace them without forking over mo dough

 
Cool, I didn't know that. I knew the 170s and 180s are half twin... huh. Also, yeah, pretty much any twin is going to be good, I agree. Some have certain characteristics which are better than others though. I just love riding AR... skiing feels better somehow, even than on the other twins I own / have owned.

I just got 4frnt's (msp) this year and I love them. Depends what you're skiing on though, i live out west so I get a lot of powder (well, when the season isn't shit), and they're the best skis I've ever ridden.

yea line is another option, i saw all the new shit but i want to try a new brand, line is like my trusty backup cause i know that theyre good

 
Armada's Warranty policy is very liberal. Even if you have excessive damage on your ski that isn't covered under warranty, IE edge damage from rails etc , they will fix it for you. All you have to do is send your skis in. If you sent your skis back to a big company and asked them to repair them, they'd laugh at you. 4frnt has a two year warranty. I'd say the smaller companies go further out of their way on customer service and satisfaction than the big guys do on any given day.

So basicly, what the hell are you talking about?

 
Picking a ski is a personal thing everyone has differnt tastes, I have AR5's and they are fantastic buy you have to pick what you want

The STL is definitely a full-twin, I don't know where this "half-twin" stuff came from (maybe the MSP?). It skis great all over the mountain, and mine have held up all season.

And sorry boys, those of you who are basing opinions solely on how well a skis feels off the wall, or how well it's selling in your local shop, well, I shouldn't have to explain how idiotic that is...

 
i saw a pair of 4frnt MSP's fall apart their first day on snow. They are by far the worst peice of ski equipment you can buy, beating out the reactor for piece of shitness.

My weiner is probably harder than yours.
 
Dude ur too insane about line. If u wanna represent them and say they have sick skis i hve no problem with that. Line makes awsome skis no doubt. But when u say get line cuz skiing needs a future its just ridiculous. And armadas are sick skis, the guy who actually co-founded armada is one of the most progressive skiers out there and helped revolutionize the sport, shit what was his name... ha. o yea i remember now TANNER HALL. bottom line, u gotta chil.

i ride 4frnt MSP and i like it more than armada...

you dont need a fucking full twin, theres no reason for it, if you can catch your tail on a half twin then you either suck or you're not going to land it anyways

 
i'd go for 4frnts, probably because i'd feel like a poser with armadas

...stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
