Armada jj or surface one life

so would these skis be similar in performance. they seem like they are relatively the same design. i know the jj has a greater running surface and tip taper but do you guys think (or know) that they perform the same or is the one life a more backcountry jib ski while the jj is more all mountain shredder? any input would be awesome

Just so you know, this is kind of a rambling post for whatever reason, but its my input, as 2 of my best friends have these skis (one with One Lifes, other with JJs)
If you want input from somebody who has skied both a lot, pm Fishgills
One of my friends has JJs, and absolutely loves them. His favorite skis ever, he uses them for everything (except park). He then found a great deal on some one lifes, and loved them also, but then sold them to my other friend. So now one has JJs which he loves, and one has One Lifes, which he also loves. The One Lifes are stiffer that the JJs by quite a bit, but seem just as nimble. The wierd sidecut of the JJs lets them turn super easy, you just think turn, and they do it. The One Lifes require a little more input, but are still great. you will be happy with either, as they are pretty similar skis, it would depend more on what conditions you are in. If you ski trees more, I would go with JJs, because of the small turn radius, whereas if you ski bigger, more open terrain, I would go with One Lifes. Not to say that the JJs cant charge, whenever I have skied them they have never wheelied out or anything, but they are better suited to tighter spots than One Lifes. JJs are more jibby and turny, whereas One Lifes are stiffer and cut through crud a little better. I have also heard that One Lifes are super fun in the park, which may weigh into consideration. JJs arent as good in the park, because they have thin sidewalls which are less durable. Basically, you'll be happy with both, it just depends on where you ski and what kind of skiing you do with them. I

I tried out both and ended up going with the jj's. They're super easy to turn through powder and trees - just float you through anything. A little chatty on the groomers but that'd be the only downside - you can still rip on them anywhere on the mountain. Don't think you'd regret it, man

I have one lifes but have yet to ride them. All I can say is that the rocker makes me jizz everytime I see it. Hope that helps...probably didn't

Loved my JJ's like a fucking brother, the Surface rocker is insane, so I imagine they would suck anywhere besides really deep pow, the JJ's are probably the most versatile ski you can buy.

Ha not at all man, dont be so hasty to judge. sure the design is different (for anyone who doesnt know they have their rocker abrupt like an angle instead of continuous like how most ski companies make rocker) but they aren't rockered an insane amount, i use them everyday all snow conditions. rocker didnt effect turning at all for me, made them really nimble in fact, and they are stiff also so they can handle a lot of chop. fun ski, haven't skiied the jj's but i do love the one lifes.

ONE LIFES are suprisingly versatile... They are obviously amazing in pow, the stiffness really helps in the crud and chopped snow, because if the rocker they are still REALLY nimble in the trees! and are a blast in the park!

^yup

live life 2s are my everyday ski, and the one life is just an improved version of that.

definitely a sweet one ski quiver in my book
