Just like the tile: im thinking of getting the magic j or the jj from armada.

does anyone have any feedback on the 2 skis?

i love to shred the park as well as powder and im looking for the best of both worlds. the jj looks like it will be fun in the park but the magic j looks like a blast in pow.

hit me up with some answers.

why only jj and magic j? if u wanna ride park and pow both i think you should get like blend or shreditor or someething like this. theres many other ski which can do both. all terrain rocker.

I used to have new lifes which are awesome for park and pow for a ski that's 122mm under foot. But I just picked up a pair of Majic J's since I'm heading to a big mountain with no park haha, hopefully they ride well

I would look at the alpha X or ARVti for more of an all mountain ski that you can hit park with. JJs and Magic Js are just too wide to hit rails with but JJs are sweet to explore the mountain and Magic Js are when you know its gonna be deep.

Both those skis will suck in the park. Most of the skinnier skis mentioned won't do well in the pow. Armada doesn't really have that excels in both environment. So screw em.

Go Faction Candide 2.0. You will not regret it.

Armada's Alpha X does excel in both. I rode these with 11inch of fresh and with the elf shoe tech they slice through the snow and lift you up at the same time. If I could only have one ski and still rode park I would pick these.

Kinda like the tst, armada should make a mini JJ, or a symmetrical TST. Especially now since the JJ 2.0 is wider. Thatd be cool. It probably be the best floating 100-104mm ski in the industry as well..

OP, If the choice is between those too, then obviously the JJ is going to do better in the park. Japanada on here used to use his s7s a decent amount in park. They might not be the best ski for park, but they definitely work. As long as your not switchin up on rails all the time.

But as the others are saying, Id get a different ski. If you really want a better 60/40 split powder/park, then go with line sfbacons. 50/50 go with blends. This is really only the case if you live in a high snowfall area, like 10m or more.

They might float better than the standard 95 waist ski, but they still don't EXCEL in the pow. Plus with their tiny turning radius, pow found on steep lines and high speeds would be not be fun.

I loved my magic js for park jumps, so fun for floaty 3s. My friend used to only own a pair of jjs and he crushed rails on them. For pow though I would go magic js, such a floaty fun ride like no other ski in pow.

Ok Ill take back excel, but they easily hold their own in the powder. And just cause the ski has a small turn radius doesn't mean you have to make short turns with them. I can still make short turns in the trees with magic j at 22m and make huge turns in a bowl with old JJ at 16m.

I love the JJ and the Magic J. I prefer the Magic J because it is a tiny bit stiffer and the rocker is a tad bit refined. It holds a great edge even on variable snow. As does the JJ. Deeper snow you want the Magic J. Average snow you want the JJ. However both will be extremely clumsy in the park. I ride a Line Sir Francis Bacon for Park/Pow. super responsive in the park and wide enough to surf the pow. I would also recommend the Pollards Opus for Park/Pow. The Magic J is more of just a POW only ski. The JJ is all mountain/pow. but again, neither are suited for park.

Ive riden my jjs in the park before. Its really fun to butter around on them because of the size and rocker, but other than that they are not good in the park
