Yo, just wondering if this is a good combo?

Any blaring faults with either or would also be nice to know!

Sounds great to me. Would be my top pick if i didnt get blue steeles.

need some more info though, height, weight, ability, etc

Don't know why I didn't say this in the first place but here ya go!

I'm 186cm (6'1), 68kg (150lbs).

As far as ability is concerned I can ski run without much difficulty and spend most of my time in the park doing jumps and rails.

Oh well im 5 foot 8 130 pounds...so for you i would go with the 182? size (whatever is the 180ish) with the marker jesters, or some fks/ pivots

Alright cool, you sure I need stronger bindings? The Jesters/FKS are about £50 ($80, I live in England) more expensive..

Will the longer skis feel heavier?

You dont need the higher din necessarily. they are just a little more burlier (jester has a couple metal pieces). I would say get pair of fks 120 or pivot 12's, way more durable. Will hold up better if you gain some weight too

and i mean, its longer, so i guess? but not noticeable. Trust me man, like i said, im small and riding 171 blue steeles which measure true so they are longer than most other skis. As well as the blue steeles, the halos have rocker, so they ride short. Trust me man, you need a 182 without a doubt. 170 will be way to unstable and just short in general for you

Ah alright I see.. The only problem is that finding the Pivots or FKS is near impossible here in England...

I think I'll go for the Jester if I can't find the Pivot/FKS.

Thanks for the advice man and I'll definetly grab the longer skis!

I think ski bartlett sell the pivot bidings but you have to call them, im in the uk too also thinking about buying Halos check my threads to see what a few people said about them, im 5ft 8 and think im going to get the 176 with a salomon sth 14 binding, the pivots are sick but dear + i dont think i ski that hard to need them?

Alright thanks man, I'll check them out I think I'll get Jesters though. I'll get my whole setup from Freeze Pro Shop then and hopefully they can mount the bindings for me then aswell!

I'm thinking the Tom Wallisch Hot Doggers and Line Pin poles (111cm) aswell!

I ski 90% park and need the shorter poles so they don't get in the way all the time. I rented 125cm this year and found them a little long.

Thanks for the feedback!

Ok, now I have a new dilemma has appeared, do I want the Pivot 14, FKS 140 or Marker Jester....

The Pivot and Jester I can get from a shop where they will be mounted for free. The FKS is however looks awesome with the orange/black color scheme..

Finally I just want to double check that a 90mm brake will fit the Halos if mounted in the middle for park use?

1. get fks or pivots. you'll be fine with the pivots, but the fks are more durable and look a hell of a lot cooler.

2. 90 mm brake would be fine.

3. line poles are shit. steal rentals and cut them down.

Awesome!! On the note of the poles I changed my mind since my post and have decided on Armada Triads.

They're that bad?! How come?

I haven't heard anything bad about the Armada pole though so I think I'll definetly get a pair of the Triads.

I found the grips shit when i tried to push off on the flats my hand just slid down the pole, cant go wrong with scott poles

go fks if you can find any of last years left with a 90 mm brake. i got mine off altrec.com before the price went up like a hundred bucks but you could check f they have any left

Yeah I'm thinking FKS for sure, they look sooo sweet in orange/black!

I live in England so ordering from the States is too expensive (Like $50 postage)....
