I want to buy some new pair of skis (broke my Elan Puzzle's :S )I can't decide between the Armada Halo's (170cm) or K2 Domain (169cm)

The next question: the bindings :)

Should i buy the Marker Griffon 13, Look Pivot 14 or Salomon Sth 14

Please help

Thanks

Peace :)

Can't really comment on the skis performance as I haven't skied either but I can tell you this the domains are heavier than halos but their durability is bomber. Just a note that a 169 domain is actually about 172 long. If I were you I would choose Pivot14s/STH14 Driver over the griffon, griffons are entirely plastic and I have found on my jesters that the heel piece slides back on the rail meaning I prerelease alot. Lastly halos and domains are rocketed so they ski much shorter just bear that in mind when choosing sizes.

Lighter skis :) the season 10/11 i was shredin the Armada T-hall and they were awesome. If anyone tried the Elan Puzzle 11/12, then i think can't the ski be heavier. Because the're really heavy :S

Are the griffon lighter then the STH?

i would like to have really durable skis, because i really like rails.

The Halo's are lighter for sure, but what's with the durabilty? In the Armada ARCast they use Halo's (most of the time) in spring and for some rails. The Bigger jumps they hit with the AR7 or T-Hall :S

So that's why i'm confused. Because if the Halo's are really durable i would buy them for sure.

peace :)

i highly recommend domains, i love this ski super playfull it durable. lasted 2 seasons and i put it through hell

Well, I used the disorderly (old domains) for a season, and they were super durable but heavy. I got back on them 2 days ago, and I just didn't like the way they performed. Personally, I would get the halos, but it's really your preference.

Bought the domains at the end of this year after debating for months if i wanted them or another Armada, prefferably the Halo's ( just came off THalls).

I purchased the Domains in 179 and I'm about 5' 8". These skis run big, so be aware of that my 179s are roughly 182-184cm really.

They are SO FUCKING FUN, i can't stress this enough, super poppy and responsive, nollies on nollies on nollies. The no-camber underfoot makes surface swaps a fuckin breeze and super fun. ON jumps they're a little sketchy and take some time to get used too due to how flexy the tips are.

Underfoot they're stiff and provide good edge/balance on rails, whereas the tips are veryyy soft so you can easily pop/nollie off anything.

Get em.

Once again, highly reccomending a pivot binding, Rossi/Look whatever they're identical. Depending on your weight figure out the appropriate din one, the 14 and 18. Came off a Marker Griffon onto FKS140's and the change was so astounding, couldn't believe that my griffons were making everything so much more difficult, on the pivots i felt i actually had control over my ski again.
