Armada Halo and Liberty Antigen

Ok, my Armada El Reys arnt cutting it for me this season and im going to have to do a mid season swap, ive narrowed it down to these 2 but if any of you have other options let me know, im looking for a very light and very buttery ski that is amazing on rails and small jumps, i realize you will most likely not find a super buttery ski that is amazing on big jumps. so which of these is the most buttery, will be the best on rails, and some jumps pretty much. i dont need an all mountain ski, just a park specific. other suggestions would be great, with about a $550 price cap. Thanks

I have liberty antigens and they are the best skis I have ever owned, they are super buttery and are great on rails and can still hold up on jumps. I would definitely recommend them!

GearTalk. And the Halos are the best ski's I've ever owned in a pretty large arsenal of skis exactly like you just described. So yeah go buy the Halos now.

had the same problem with some salomon suspects and i just got some scott jibs, have not rode them enough to give a good review but the switch riding is unbelievable and very flexy

halos man got em, most playful buttery ski I've ever had, but they are a bit soft for jumps 30+, but rails and small jumps, u can't get any better.

thanks for the help guys and shit sorry about that i mustve been zoning out... shouldve known it was gear talk. i still like the antigens on price but everybody i talk to that has halos swears by them

Nice, not that overall weight matters but I can't find it anywhere and I'm just curious, how much do halos weigh? Which ones the lighter ski? Ik antigens are like 1550g per ski.

They are LIGHT, I don't know the specific weight but due to the elf shoe shape of the tips and tails it makes the swing weight of then drop to something similar to ski blades, its ridiculous. They are not heavy by any means also.

also throwing ON3P Filthy Rich into the mix. i like them a lot but they dont seem too playful or buttery... can anyone say otherwise?

Its not really that i dont like them, theyre just not my style. im a pretty light guy and have been skiing on pretty buttery skis forever and just picked these up at the beginning of the year because they were a decent price, but i just couldnt get into how stiff they are. not a bad ski by any means though.

I have halos, they shred would set recommend them, they are super buttery and playful, but can handle 40 footers like a champ!

Just a heads up Halo's will likely be quite a bit stiffer than you expect. They aren't considered to be really buttery, they are just not super stiff. They are definitely in the middle. If you want a buttery ski Punx are softer and crazy fun.

does anybody know anything about the K2 presses and domains and the whole jib rocker? just trying to see all the options, no camber and early rise seems interesting but idk if it works.

just wanted to bring this thread up again cuz i traded my friend for some 2013 chronics, and i kinda like em. would it be worth trying to trade or sell for a pair of antigens? they seem like very similar skis. chronics might even be a bit better from what im hearing but any help would be good, thanks

Chronics are fucking awesome. Super versatile ski, I would definitely reccomend them. Super fun in park, groomers and pow. Would not give them up for the world
