Armada gear or Marmot gear

So I have a Marmot jacket that I outgrew over the summer, and it was good quality and everything but I think I'm going to switch to Armada. The quality of their jackets seems really good, what do you guys think?

We all think you should tell us what type of skiing you intend to do.

Also, we all think you should get whatever fits the best.

I'm sorry that was terrible advice. I have an armada jacket, even though it's only 10k it's held up really well in wetter conditions.

It would be huge. Not just long but really wide too. I would say large if you want it big and baggy or med if you want reg fit.

Armada makes great gear. Got a bunch of their hoodies, hats, and just got the new Scout jacket. It's labeled as long fit. I'm 5'9/160 lbs with about a 31 waist, and got a medium and its def not super baggy, but it is "loose" which is my ideal fit. The bottom of the jacket rests about 4-inches above the knee. So if ur 5'6 and buy an XL jacket in the "long fit", its going to be enormous on you. But if you go with a jacket that is either the progressive or standard fit it'd probably be baggy if your going for that look.

However, I've run into some problems with ordering directly from Armada's site before- packages didn't get shipped correctly-items lost by UPS/items missing from the box after receiving them- but this was more of a problem due to their online ordering partner/the supplier ( a store that ships the gear {i don't know why they don't ship it themselves but it seems to be if you buy something from them, its shipped from a local store of Armada's choosing to you} So if you can, try to order from backcountry, evo.com if at all possible.

I have spoken to Armada directly regarding the above problems and they tried their best to remedy everything, but the company who manages their online orders, doesn't seem to know up vs down, and the store that was shipping the items I ordered couldn't seem to stop making mistakes when trying to ship me my stuff, but they nonetheless seemed like nice people.

All of that being said, Armada has a great team working for them, and they make super quality gear. I would absolutely order anything Armada makes.
