On my Armadas AR5(04-05) on the top there is be written MADE IN THE E.U.

Are they maybe made by Rossignol or Völkl?

yes Europian Union, and yes Elan factory. Like many companies they farm out the work to make their skis by companies that do good work. Such as Line Skis that are made in a plant in Canada , the same plant that burton has some of their boards made at.
