Friend of mine told me about them. He was raving about how they would be a badass all mountain armada for $399 or something like that(msrp still has to come out). Anyone got photos?

Capped skis till I die yo! Sidewalls are more expensive to make, but more expensive does not always mean better.

Aside form that, I don't think this ski is a good idea. It could go one of two ways:

1)It could use quality materials and be a sick ski. In this case, it kinda steps on the toes of the AR6 and ARV for a cheaper price.

2)It could use lower quality materials and be a not-so-sick ski. In this case it is relegated to just a price point ski and it tarnishes Armada's good name.

Seems like a lose-lose situation for Armada here, but that's just my opinion. Probably they will sell a million no matter how it skis just because it has the Armada name and more kids can afford it.

the el ray is an all mountain park ski.

it is for the people who dont want to throw down the big bucks for an ar6 or an arv.

i skied the 178s.

they were fun but they were a little heavy. they were amazing on the groomers; easy, flowing turns and quick edge to edge movement.

in the park they were alright..stable landings but they felt slow spinning.

anyways overall a good ski for its price

for a price point ski it is pretty good. it is capped, and cheaper. but for all you nooblets looking not to drop too much cash, it's alright, and yes, it has the word ARMADA written on it

My ARGs are capped and are fucking solid. Capped skis don't neccessarily have to be shit. Don't let old solly 1080s and pocket rockets make you think that.
