Armada Edollo in 188cm, too long?

So, recently i asked for advice on my Ski lenght.

I am 186cm and was adviced to buy 188cm Ski.

I have read some articles now about ski lenght, which say that especially for park

(which i aim for mostly of course, with the Edollos) i should take shorter Ski.

Mine are now +2cm.

I didn't put any bindings on these Ski and i guess i could still sell it for the original price.

So, i am now thinking about selling the 188cm and go for the 178cm, which would be exactly 10cm shorter than me.

What do you think about that? I will ski 80% Park and 20% Pow, maybe more often if the conditions are perfect.

If you already have the 188, and can't return or exchange them, that length is fine depending on your preferences and skill level.

If you're a somewhat confident skier, the 188 should be the better length for a general park/all mt jib ski (which is what it sounds like you want). From my experience, the edollos measure up pretty much on 188cm and 2cm over head height would be easily preferable to 10cm under. However, if you're just learning then they will feel like a lot of ski to begin with. I would say just stick with it.

Henrik is about 168 cm (5'6") and rides 178s sooo you should be fine. More length = better stability

.

no offense to anyone but when it comes to park/freeride skiing, the articles are mostly written by gapers

if youre a good skier youre going to want to stick with the 188s for sure, esp if youre using them all mtn

if youre new or arent very good or otherwise prefer short skis, then you might want to try to switch. that can be tougher than youd think tho-- reselling even brand new in plastic skis can be tough if youre looking to get most of the cost back

Trust us you want the 188s. You said it yourself you plan to ski these in POW 20% of the time. Don't second guess yourself too much it's not good for your head.

Henrik also needs the stability to land triples.

Wait Henrik is 5'6"? I always thought he was way taller.

I'm exactly the same length as you and ride the 188cm. You'll be fine, it's the perfect length.

They got a hefty amount of nose rocker as well so they ski shorter.

However, sell them as fast as possible. The durability is horrible (at least on the 2017), i've seen so many Armadas this year with delamination issues, my pair included. Both my nose and one sidewall is fucked after less than a month.

go with the 188 for sure

gotta disagree with the dude about durability... weve had hardly any warranty cases on these skis other than the 178s back in 2015
