Armada....durability....?

How durable are the armadas, do they break easy, or are they like the first 1080s....they wont break after 5 years of nuthing but park and rails. I hear they are exactly like the rossis, but that is probably a rumor...

ok, basically the scratch and the armadas are the same exept for the core and the weight

the armadas are a little heavier(STRONGER) but the armadas will last you and they a sick ski

well the scratch fs is REALLY soft, but the ar5 is supposedly quite stiff. Also, the cores are different, armada has a wood core, scratch has a thc core

Armada has a titanium strip from mid-tail for added stifness in the tails.

titanium isnt very flexible tho, in fact it has a tendancy of snapping sometimes.

armadas are actually very flexy and about the same as the scratch i talked to tanner and boyd they said that the ones they will be producing is actually soft and that they are similar to the scratch in the dimentions, sidewall, and flexibility

um no, no, and no...

its a carbon fiber stringer in the tail of the armadas, not titainium. The scratch has ABS sidewalls, ABS is brittle and will crack, armadas have Sintered P-Tex sidewalls and will never crack. The armadas have a much firmer tail flex then the scratch impart to the stringer.

so from what i've read so far the armada ar5 is a bomb proof twin similar in dimensions to the FS scratch, The ski although 'bomber' in construction has quite a bit o flex in it and the titanium strip in the tail and nose complements the softness of the ski. But wait, its soft but not as soft as Line's skis. Did someone mention something about a rubber topsheet?

ok i have rode the 176 and 180 ar5 and the 175 and 185 avr and i thought they were quite nice... the avr felt like a soft seth pistol, they had rossi 140's on them so they were heavy but i got to ski them on south and north back at crystal... fun ski i would recomend them to anybody that like the seth pistol... now the ar5 was just to sweet, very very solid lots of ollie power!!!! the 180 is wide 114-81-108, and i love them, i launched off this booter and stacked it soooo hard in the flats that if i was on a line i am sure i would have broke it.

yea the armada's look pretty beefy, I wanna buy a pair next year.. anyone kno anything about the 4front skis and how their gonna operate?

not one pro on the armada team has broken a ski yet. not edges no delam no nothing, just quality.

Gonorrhea wipes off with gasoline! Just soak it a bit...
 
i was typing to fast and said they felt like a soft seth pistol but they actually are alot stiffer, im probably gonna take the ar5's up again this weekend if i can, ill put up a vid soon
